Looks like an awesome Crane fly pattern, you’ve always been the master of the marker . I will paint my picture. Paint myself blue and red and black and gray . All of the beautiful colors are very meaningful the black dots are my favorite color:-)

WOW; what a cool fly to tie, Charlie! I’m pretty new to tying and have followed several of your tutorial videos to learn several of the “basic” patterns to develop techniques. I hope that some day (hopefully sooner than later) that I will be able to attempt this pattern. I want you to know that your videos and tips have been a great help to me and have helped me to learn how to deal with several of the problems that all new tyers experience. Great tip! I always have trouble getting extended bodies off of the needle.

I’ve found that a good gooey coating of dubbing wax on the needle helps immensely!
