Mr. Kitty... I am not really familiar with his work. Sure, I listen to ONE song of his, but that can hardly be considered listening to his works. Speaking of songs, amazing work as per usual, lad. The music cleverly has a happy front, as if its attempting to appear happy, while the base and some secondary instruments play a much more melancholic and mature song under the happy mask of the main instruments. The video itself contains a standard sun often seen on synthwave (esthetic) backdrops, as well as bisexual lighting, elements commonly associated with synthwave (music) in general, so I can't really use them to build a story. However, when the video itself begins, something that looks to me like stars can be seen rushing past the screen, giving me space-faring sci-fi vibes. If I combine this with the music itself, here is what I think could work for it: the story is a sci-fi crime drama with psychological horror elements. It follows a naïve interpol agent working for the UNSC, the inter-planetary organization that serves as the standard supporter of order and stability through the galaxy, as well as supporting old world values such as freedom, liberty, equality and fraternity, as well as the rule of law. They are who every planetary government, systems alliance, interstellar empire and corporation turns to whenever they have trouble. The Milky Way in this universe is supposed to be a utopia... but for some reason, its not. Firstly, one of the things which is sinister through the show is the clear lack of intelligent life. Aliens do exist, but as animals, not sapient, and so far science has yet to reveal if any of these animals have the ability to one day become sentient, so far at least. And, sure, the Earth and the space around it is pretty much a utopia, but the farther away you get from Terra, the worse everything gets, with life getting worse and worse to the point where it might as well be considered "dystopian". And the episodes themselves follow this as well. Most episodes start in the middle or near the end of an investigation closer to Earth, these investigation almost always have a happy and wholesome ending, however pretty soon after finishing this, our agent receives a mission on a world far away from terra, and from this point forward, things begin to go downhill. Sure, most missions are still successful, but its the kind of success no one wants to celebrate, or even talk about, and episodes almost never end with a happy ending. Our young and naïve agent has seen it all, from missing person discovered hanging from a tree in a swamp world, to horrid acts committed against a young woman by a gang on a salt world, he has seen it all, and yet every day he gets surprised yet again by the horrid acts of humanity. But still, despite the horrific acts witnessed, the atrocities he bare witness too, and the ones he himself was forced to partake in, he still holds on. He knows that there are people that still need him, and that if he gives up now, if he finally give into the darkness, then he knows that others will follow him. And so, he must carry on, he must continue exposing himself to the horrors of the universe, for the good of all.
