How the hell can the ifbb accept 54 contestants.... They should do more qualifation brackets just the the NPC does in the USA. For example your first victory qualifies you to another show where everybody won at least 1 show this year. This would reduce the stage by at least half the contestants....

I've never seen a bodybuilding contest before where so many superb classic physiques didn't even make the top 15 placings.

I thought the same thing. Based on some of the images shared in the vid, some of those that didn’t place looked better than the guys in the lower placings. Maybe it’s politics, sponsorships or them trying to grow the sport.

Yeah I agree. You can definitely tell which ones are the bottom of the pack, but then there are alot of good physiques that didn't make the cut

Chen Kang definitely got overlooked, he should have been at least top 10. Chris by far had the best physic once again. I hate to see him go.

Man, I will be honest, classic Physique Olympia feels like there are 15 guys scoring 99,9/100 and the judges are looking for that 0.1 differences/improvements to rank them. Which means that peaking in Classic can mean 4-5 or more changes in placings.

There are improvements. Judges had different plans though. You can't do anything about it. Of course you can always make a story.

Honestly Mike Sommerfeld almost won the Classic Physique and there was a pretty big gap between him and the 3rd, means there is no competition anymore. MIKE is the new CBUM!

I disagree with the Urs vs Mike opinions I see floating around. Urs is taller, yes. But to me, Mikes "structure" is just as good, if not better than Urs. Mike got that X-frame. Compare the front -and back double bi, and you'll easily see the difference in shape/structure.
