Much as I loved his portrayal of Eggman in this dub, Alfred’s utterly bizarre portrayal of the President was, arguably, even better. I don’t know what I was expecting, but it sure as hell wasn’t (as TV Tropes put it) “melodramatic weirdo who rarely speaks louder than a calm whisper.” I don’t know what inspired him to go down that ridiculously niche route, but I think there’s no denying that he single-handedly made this character a trillion time more interesting (and funny) in this dub than he was in the original game.
