I really enjoyed watching this video. It's marvelous to see that Mr. Rogers had a Christmas Special. I also don't think it's weird at all. It's special, and it's so Fred Rogers. He's flexible and perfectly willing to let other characters take the center stage and show off their talents, and yet, all the while, Fred is still there with us. It also probably wouldn't have worked to do everything exactly the way they did in the show in which the episodes were 30 min segments. Everything would have probably felt stretched. This was an hour long special so Fred had to write in some new creativity and some new ideas to make this special truly special. And I do believe he was successful with this.

I've wondered, if Mr. And Mrs. Mcfeeley got married at a young age and adopted an older girl from an orphanage why they became grandparents at a young age

It was an interesting decision to make then both appear older early on and eventually watch them both age into the parts but yeah it definitely caused some confusion for me as the show went on and they filled out their family and backstory.

@@disneyfan8178 after Mr Rogers' neighborhood changed from black and white episodes to color episodes in 1969 they changed the neighborhood of Make believe by replacing the frog fountain with the frog family for the platypus mound with the platypus family in the very same spot
