In this installment of Neighborhood Watch, Fred speaks to the fears of children and their parents on the subject of Divorce; probably one of the most important and talked about weeks of the show's fifty year run.
"Neighborhood Watch" is shot, written and edited by Jimmy Humphrey. All footage and music contained here is not my own, and is used for educational purposes only. Plus, I'm just a big fan.

This is a great video! I'm sure you noticed that Fred ALWAYS sang "It's a beautiful day in THIS neighborhood." Not one single time did he EVER sing "THE neighborhood." People are simply misremembering the lyrics.

Nice shout-out to Kellogs-granted classic _Reading Rainbow_ during the Divorce book promotion, with corresponding cheap plug for Amazon.

I love seeing these videos. Is it possible for you to do a video about the fast and slow week of Mr Rogers? It’s my favorite week of programs.

My parents divorced when I was 5 years old. Growing up as Christian, I actually blamed God for their divorced and told my dad that I hated God. When he asked me why, I said, "because God made the mommy and daddy get divorced". But now looking back as a 23 year old man, I can safely say it was not God's fault. It was my dad's fault.
