Richard Smith gilt als einer der momentan besten Fingerstyle-Gitarristen, der selbstverständlich aus Nashville kommt. Joscho Stephan ist einer der weltbesten Gypsystyle-Gitarristen, der beim "Jazz Club Hannover by Gartenheim" fast schon wie ein Stamm-Musiker gewissermaßen wie zu Hause spielt. Bei der Probe zum Konzert wurde der spontane Wunsch geäußert, das bekannte Stück Mr. Sandman mal auszuprobieren. Dieses unglaubliche Duett wurde dann nach einmaliger Probe sofort auf der Bühne gespielt. Chapeau!
Mr. Sandman by Pat Ballard was a request during the soundcheck for "Jazz Club Hannover by Gartenheim". And so Joscho Stephan & Richard Smith played the tune spontaneous and took it on the setlist.
Awesome version! By the way, Richard Smith from Nashville is one of the best finger style guitar players on the planet.

You've won me over completely.... making an acoustic guitar talk! This guy is the most versatile guitarist I've ever heard.....I believe he's better than Hendrix, Clapton, Johnny Winter, Jorma Kaukonen, Roy Buchanan, Lightnin' Hopkins or anyone I've ever heard or seen. His chord changes are lightning quick and crisp regardless of the difficulty of any chord.....his lead and rhythm is played with soul. His knowledge of the guitar and versatility is phenomenal......he's a living legend and the vast majority of the world has no idea how amazing this guy is.......or who he is..... baffling.....he should be playing sold out stadiums throughout the world.

none of those guitarists are "better" than each other. what a ridiculous notion. guitar isnt all about being better than others. its about making music, which is subjective. Hendrix didnt play mr sandman as a fingerstyle piece not because he couldnt, but because he was busy being hendrix. richard Smith isnt hendrix either, does that mean hes worse at guitar? of course not, that would be absurd.
