Here is closer look at the equipment I use when flying FPV. This episode consists of an in-depth look at the Aircraft that I use. This includes all of the modifications and personalizations I have done, as well as my explanation of why I choose this setup.

I think my favorite part of this video is seeing your quad dirty and dinged up. It's nice to know that you fly it hard and don't have a fleet of brand new quads ready to swap out any time one gets dirty or dinged up. Looking at some of the pics of quads online and I think some of these guys don't ever fly theirs. Maybe they just build them and photograph them? Mine are meant to be flown and they're gonna crash!

I am just getting into the world of FPV which has led me to find instructional videos by you and "Rotor Riot" among many others. I must say they are my favorite. Thank you for all the time spent to make these videos as I am very grateful. They are to the point and very well produced . I appreciate also the " no bullshit approach to the gear discussed. I have narrowed my first build and FPV experience to 4 kits. Armattan Chameleon, Catalyst 210-r, QAV-XS, and of course ImpulseRC Alien. I have begun building a budget of the considerable money needed to build a first class FPV of roughly $1,500.00 including many batteries, charging and good soldering equipment. I should be ready to begin my orders in a couple more weeks. Thanks again for the "priceless" information and no bullshit approach to your testing of equipment. You have faithfully earned my trust regarding FPV equipment. Cheers,

Thanks for all the info. Its good to see that a professional like you uses the things which just work and not always the newest and (in theory) maybe better staff. It also shows again that your skill is what counts and not some brand new technology.

just smashed my runcam hd2 into bits today, one of my engines cut off while doing a low fly-by, will definitely be using your polarised antennas trick and working to protect my quad better, it has served me well since March, it's time it has got it's well deserved re-build from scratch ;) Thank you Mr Steele, pleasure to watch your stuff as usual ;)

Just watched this video now as it was dated on my BDay and it caught my interest. Particularly enjoyed the commentary on the TBS Core. I am getting a PNP for my wing as I could not agree more with your comments on VTX and lack of quality products. The video I just made touched on this very subject. No one watches mine but I enjoy the therapy of talking to the camera. Anyhoot thanks Steele

I know you get this a lot, but I love your flight videos, and when you and the crew get together and fly it makes me jealous, I wish I was flying right there with you guys. You and FinalGlide seem to flow together on camera as well. Before you started making videos, I used to FPV fly and do some normal and boring tricks and "dive" like maneuvers, but watching you push the limits inspired me to become a better free style pilot. Thanks for the entertainment and awesome videos, and maybe one day, if I am at an event where you happen to be, we can rip it up!

Hey what's up? I always wondered why everyone flew the Alien5in until I did some research and learned that it's not just a frame that looks cool but a mathematical equation that reduces drag and maximizes thrust by limiting the area that could block air flow and also incorporating nearly perfect center of gravity. Well in my opinion the frame that has best put all those factors into use is the Quadrysteria Rush 4 and 5. They are the bees knees as UAVfuturea would say. This frame set east and west coast track records with MultiGP and I believe the one set on the east coast by CovA was his first time flying the frame. Super locked in and just plain amazing and fun. The owners name is Ron and he is super cool. To get a good review of it check out Josh Bardwells series on it. I really hope u take the time to check it out it would blow me away if you did a build review on it Thanks buddy and hopefully one day I'll be standing next to you rocking a TBS team hat ripping packs. Peace

Good run down fella! Just wanted to correct on the TBS PnP50 as i asked Trappy about this a while ago and he confirmed it can read/log up to 62amps accurately, it will still display more on the amp pull counter so you may see up to 80 etc but anything more than 62 wont be logged on the mah counter. Shouldn't matter too much on a small 1300mah lipo anyway.

You mean the vrx module to fit inside fatsharks? If buying new you may aswell get a diversity type module and use a omni/patch combo, on a budget then Fatshark V2 Diversity is cheap and works well although not "True Diversity"! I use a FuriousD its been spot on so far but a little expensive. You can tune both to whatever channel you want to use on your unify pro.

Hey thanks for the tips. Very usefull. I was looking at the details of the equipment, and i noticed there isn't an option to have inverted threading, for motors 1 & 4. Is that normal ? I thought it was mandatory to screw the bolts accordingly to the motors spin direction. I'm planning to mount all that on a GEP-TX5 frame. I think it will look awesome. I hesitate to switch to the Lumenier RB2204-13 2500Kv, that seem to be a little more powerfull for quite the same consumption, but i think i will take no risk and take your stuff exactly.
