I’ll never forget being picked up as a 3 year old boy by TONY ATLAS as he exited the locker room at West Columbus High School in Cerro Gordo NC. It was 1979. He carried me all the way to the steps of the ring and gave me a pack of Grape Hubba Bubba; 3 pieces left. I felt like I was an Angel and I remember his win. Watching the match Tony had on purple tights and knee pads. The crowd whole gym chanting 1..2..3 as the referee hit the mat. It was incredible… Then the main attraction a young Ric Flair came out that locker room to his music playing. The girls was all over him. I literally wrapped myself around Ric Flairs thigh as a 3 year old boy. I’ve thought about that so many times. But this video takes me literally in my mind to that night. Jimmy Valiant, Black Jack Mulligan, The Great Kabuki and a few more. Female wrestler Diana Prince. OMG I remember how attractive she was the long dark hair, beautiful makeup. My my my I wish wrestling could be more like that again.
