I always think about it that way - if you take a real historical figure that had a lot of luck and near-death expieriences, and then write a book or make TV series about that person, would you call his luck a plot armor too? Modern writers model their stories on such people, simple because we find that entertaining.

Jesse was so accurate when he said: “whatever you think is supposed to happen, the exact reverse opposite of that is gonna happen” Like when Hank and Gomez arrested Walt in the desert where he hid the money, the idea that they were gonna die within the same 10 minutes wouldn’t have crossed their minds not even in a 100 years. What they thought was gonna happen is that they would put Walt in prison and that’s it. But the exact opposite happened, they died and Walt was free.

This is one of the most POWERFUL scenes in the show! It has so much depth. It is very well written and played. Jessie has a first hand experience of his business with Walt, and he understands he and Walt should have been dead long ago, probably in Season 1, Episode 1. Jessie realizes how Walt destroyed all mobsters, Crazy-8, Tuco, Gus and other people who got in his way. Hank is super cocky and cannot see this, but Gomie is somewhat concerned, probably remembering some evidence of Walt's talents (e.g. Gus assassination, police station evidence destruction & etc.).

Not only that but Gus took down the leadership of an entire Cartel of professional psychopaths in a very methodical manner, part of that led to him looking at Walter as if he was a joke and it got him killed as he wouldn't expect a former high school chemistry teacher convincing a crippled ex-Don to strap a bomb to his wheelchair and wait for Fring to come and kill him. It wouldn't enter his mind that a man who seems so different than that would do something so ruthlessly cold blooded - yet even in that Walt wasn't cruel or spiteful, that bomb was specifically designed to destroy everything in the room and nothing else, no additional casualties, no mounds of dead people, just 3 dead bodies that were dealt with in perfect calm assurance.

I actually think the best part of this scene is when it shows Gomey asking Hank: what if the kid is right? What if it's a trap meeting Walter? Hank's response to that shows that he doesn't really care as long as he gets Jesse's death on camera. It shows the dangers of what being obsessive is all about.

It’s crazy how Walt had such a stomach for this. Hank had obvious PTSD from the explosion, but Walt drugged a kid strangled someone to death. point blank murdered people watched someone shoot a child in front of him had 11 people killed in prison AND caused 200 people to die in a plane crash because he let a young woman die most people couldn’t do what he did and sleep ever again.

I honestly believe that after his diognosis, Walt was only seeing red, due to having possibly wasted all his "potantial". I think that feeling of necessary rush, a rush to leave behind a legacy worthy of his potantial, is what made it possible for him to be the unhinged monster we watch him as.

"He is luckier than you" is such a sharp description to things like the desert shootout scene but also this very plan of Hank's to record Walt. Walt went in unarmed and without backup, actually about to talk with Jesse. If Jesse had followed through the plan would have been successful but because of the uncertainty around Heisenberg Jesse self destructs the very plan that would have worked, without any direct influence from Walt. Amazing.

Had Hank respected Walt a bit more, he wouldn't had gone after him. Walt has terminal cancer, he did what he did for his family (including Hank). Him dying, even if it was in a warm bed, should had been sufficient punishment. No more blue meth, it's done.

Once again, Jesse states what's going to happen, and people disregard him, to their great regret. It's ironic that Walter White, who is slowly and painfully dying of lung cancer as his family is crumbling around him, can be called lucky. It's also ironic that Jesse, who clowned around and blew off this middle-aged chemistry teacher's class, would wind up calling him the devil years later. "Whatever you think is going to happen, the exact reverse opposite of that is going to happen! You know why? Because the frickin' script is Written that way, ok???"
