This is one of the most POWERFUL scenes in the show! It has so much depth. It is very well written and played. Jessie has a first hand experience of his business with Walt, and he understands he and Walt should have been dead long ago, probably in Season 1, Episode 1. Jessie realizes how Walt destroyed all mobsters, Crazy-8, Tuco, Gus and other people who got in his way. Hank is super cocky and cannot see this, but Gomie is somewhat concerned, probably remembering some evidence of Walt's talents (e.g. Gus assassination, police station evidence destruction & etc.).

This is the moment i fucking hated hank and gomie, not only they viewed jesse as just some crooked meth head even after he told his story to them, but they didn't even listen to him when he told them about walt's nature, they were just obsessed and excited to catch walter for their own good
@Gh0st6522 жыл бұрын
The whole "He is... luckier than you" is fun because it's almost like Walt's "Main Character armor" is working against them.

By the time Jesse chose to cooperate and tell the story recorded, Hank thought he could get away with this alive, even if it meant Jesse being the sacrificial lamb in this case. It ended up being the reverse.

Once again, Jesse states what's going to happen, and people disregard him, to their great regret. It's ironic that Walter White, who is slowly and painfully dying of lung cancer as his family is crumbling around him, can be called lucky. It's also ironic that Jesse, who clowned around and blew off this middle-aged chemistry teacher's class, would wind up calling him the devil years later. "Whatever you think is going to happen, the exact reverse opposite of that is going to happen! You know why? Because the frickin' script is Written that way, ok???"

Ironically if Jesse had followed through with Hank's original plan, Walt would be in prison and Jesse would be living with Andrea and Brock.
@thepope96486 ай бұрын
Jesse would likely be in prison also. This was not a formal plea. Hank is a top level federal agent so he’d likely be able to pull some strings, but in a case this big, it would probably be out of his hands.

Hand and Gomez wen't rogue at this point not calling any backups before even going out there in the desert. They didn't call cuz they need solid proof firstly. So he couldn't risk calling even his DEA troops over there until he found evidence or else he gonna lose his job for the prank

Honestly this is top three episodes in the entire show & is the only episode to make me tear up because of Walt & Jesse's love for each other & this episode proves that Walt really didn't want to kill or hurt Jesse unless he absolutely had to

This man has no qualms about suicide-bombing a nursing home. What makes them think the plaza being the busiest place in Albuquerque and it being the middle of the day would deter Walt? They don't think it'd deter him - they're willing to sacrifice Jesse here.

And he produces his own beers in his garage. Which was also once illegal. It's all very backwards if you think about it.

Hank can’t say he wasn’t warned. It certainly didn’t go Walt’s way either but that’s because “whatever you think is supposed to happen, the exact opposite of that is gonna happen” and Walt did end up outsmarting the Jack and thugs anyway.

Jesse was completely right: the complete reverse opposite of what they thought would happen DID happen, because he is smarter AND luckier. They have him in cuffs, middle of nowhere by himself, and then at the very last second a crazed gang of Neos, people he called off and told not to come, STILL show up and save his ass? Smarter and luckier and the devil. All rolled into that part of the story.
