YESSS.IT'S THEIR Signature melody.Very Sly, deceptive, Sneaky.Crispin's dad(mr. Wint of course) is brilliantly quirky and sinister. Luv this movie, even with outdated "FX". Great characters make up for technical deficiencies; Wint & Kidd, Bambi & Thumper, Blofeld and of course the real sausage guy, Jimmie Dean of the breakfast sausage of the same name as "Willard Whyte" somehow cast in this movie. Great stuff.

The way you keep saying hardcore in quotations makes me think it's related to some comment that I'm not seeing here. Anyway I didn't think the whole movie was campy, mostly just the scenes with these two. I actually prefer this type of Bond movie than the new ones with Daniel Craig. Not that they are bad, it just doesn't seem very Bond-esque to me. The Rodger Moore era was when these movies really became over the top, like that scene where he's driving around in half a car.

When I watched these two at about the age of 10, I was just about starting to realise that I was gay, and the scene of two men walking off into the sunset holding hands was probably the first time I saw a gay person on film- sure they'd just killed a guy by putting a scorpion down the back of his shirt, but everyone in James Bond films did sadistic shit like that- Bond most of all ("Guess he just didn't have the guts!" seems to stand out). This was still probably my first experience of homosexuality as more than just a vague concept, and for that reason, I thank you for uploading it and their other scenes.

This film came out around New Years Eve not very long after the Stonewall riots in the Village made Gay Liberation a thing just before the global AIDS epidemic.
