Up Garage. It's a new and used car parts store. Sometimes you find great gems! I'll be in Tokyo around end of December/Early Jan.

Similar colour and interior to the one I used to own. Have to say, I prefer the original gear shifter, that fits to hand so well. Lots and lots of enjoyable miles in both the UK and also here in South Africa. But no style points for leaving the headlights up. The reason for that is in cold weather, so they could not freeze stuck down.

I owned a STI 2021 and sold it and this MR2 1987 is the only one that I fell in love at the first sight after my STI 😂. So expensive in Australia . I wish I could afford this MR2

I owned a 2014 STI and a 2020 WRX. First time I drove the blue MR2 I fell in love with older JDM cars. Nothing quite like it.

This really illustrates the AW11 renaissance happening now. I love seeing the same enthusiasm for the AW11 I felt when it started appearing in magazines and streets back in high school, spanning to the generation of kids I never wanted. 10 years ago I bought my current street AW11 from an original owner who couldn't get his niblings to take it because the only wanted AWD turbo cars. The radwood effect over the last couple years has really brought attention and raised demand for these. BTW, your color/vintage matches the one used in "Murder Among The Mormons". Netflix bought a friend's car for filming that documentary, highlighted in episode 2. The actual car owned by the subject was a hardtop though. Good job on your geek-meet and good luck with the restoration.

Biggest thing is looking out for rust near the mud flap areas, wheel arches, behind side skirts. Just like any used car, try to find the best condition one to start out with as a base. Parts can be a little challenging but places like twosrus.com is a haven for mr2 owners. Niel Jones on Facebook is a great resource to find used parts.

Bro I saw an MR2 with this colour, like 2 years ago. It was like 2-3 roads away from my house and since then I haven't seen it at all. Just last week I passed through that road expecting to see this fucking sexy car but it wasn't there and j was so sad.
