Wow. I never got this far in Skyward Sword, IIRC. My WiiU is lying around, half the games for it were never played. I played Skyward Sword until I got to some race against time I just couldn't beat and it wasn't much fun anymore.

Mr. A-Game, how come it never occurred to you to slice at the little red "birds" in the configuration they were in as he flings them at you? You keep deflecting with your shield, but the shapes seem indicative. (I'm avoiding the word "obvious" to not be rude.) Again, I never got this far, so I'm not trying to be superior at all...and clearly, you made this work for you. I'd just like to have seen what would happen if you'd sliced at an angle when they were at an angle, etc.

Totally get that, all good! There were a lot of attempts at slicing in the direction but they were cut due to time - you also have to slice them reasonably close to him otherwise they'll just fling away, so you either risk getting too close and he'll grab your sword OR you're too far away and miss. It was ultimately just way easier to parry them :)
