She’s 50 now and still sounds like she did on Jagged Little Pill in 1995. Truly, truly incredible.

And that, Ladies and Gentlemen… is what is referred to as “leaving it all out there.” If you don’t feel something as you view this performance, see your healthcare provider. You may have issues.

When this song came out, I was a drummer in a progressive power metal band. I remember hearing this song and recognizing how very dark and heavy it was. Such an incredibly powerful song.

Haha heck out the band Ice Nice Kills. Complete chorus rip off

@@averagejoebo which song? I checked out A Grave Mistake and heard nothing there. Let me know which song you’re referencing.
@yadirajimenez37244 күн бұрын
@@gaylefranklinI think he might be referring to the song Meat and Greet. The reason I'm saying this is because I watched a reaction video of it and the reactors claimed that they both sounded alike.

Jagged Little Pill dominated the music scene back in the day, and three decades later, Alanis is still a powerhouse. Kudos, the lifeforce is mucho impressive in this one.

Can you imagine being able to make people feel something that they can’t even explain and leave them in awe on this kind of level by simply doing something you were so clearly born to do?! I’ve watched dozens of her live performances on KZbin and in the comments on every single video there’s one comment after another of people saying they get chills. I get them too and always have over the years. She is everything!

Most artists, when they move their head back from the mic, it’s because they can’t hit the notes. It’s obvious that she does it because, even with sound checks, the system couldn’t handle it..she’s still got it! Damn!

I wonder how many musically-minded out there understand the Indian classical raga that forms the base of this song… I’m not sure if it’s Raga Bhimpalasi or something else… but the scale itself. Alanis is a total yogi though, and her brother, Wade Imre Morissette, is a well-known kirtan (yoga) singer. I’ve heard his songs numerous times in yoga classes. Just imagine a male version, deeper voice of Alanis. 😂 But the fact that their family are all yogis and interested in Indian philosophy is evident in all of Alanis' lyrics. For example, and not least of all, "Thank you, India". 🙏🏼

Since everyone has already said great things about her talent, I’m going to put out there that I love the fact she went back to her amazing hair rather than the shorter look she had for a while. Great hair. Ok, I’m done being shallow…uninvited…if you will.
