I started youtubeing around last year November , before that I would watch your videos and others on Davinci Resolve, now Fast-forward... I have people telling me my editing is amazing or very good, I have people asking me to do videos or edit for them, offering me jobs. So thank you, thank you for taking the time and effort to teach and help others grow. Thank you Alextech🔥💯🖤

@@MrAlexTech I went for the drop shadow tip (i had always been peparing my images in photoshop). The blanking fill after was interesting too, and then the guassian blur, I had always been doing this on the color page. So basically I didn't know about all these effects and basically never used them. I will now. Thanks for watching my vids!

As an ex advertising industry professional, my first introduction to DaVinci was this high end 'complicated' post production platform where big budget projects were executed in cool expensive studios. Black Magic should reward you now for making DaVinci no longer intimidating for non professional editors/film makers and thus helping more and more people get added to the platform. Kudos!

That would be me! I've been wanting to take the plunge into making KZbins for fun. I was reluctant to start with a free editor because I would then have to transition to a more sophisticated editor down the road and start another learning curve. Adobe is just too expensive to learn on unless one is going to commit to a deep time investment upfront to get to the point skill wise where Adobe PR is worth the monthly cost. And even then, it's hard to justify if you aren't intending to make money from your content. DaVinci Resolve 18 is amazing! KZbinrs such as Alex have helped me easily learn the basics and reach a point where I can create a decent quality video and experiment with creative editing. DaVinci Resolve can take me as far as I want to go. No need to move to Adobe now or in the future.

I'm actually really proud that I use each of these. One thing I'm moving away from us keyframing the audio for ducking. I still use it sometimes but find it more convenient to cut the audio at the points where it needs to increase or decrease and add cross fades on both ends. It's more net clicks but gives the flexibility to nudge those cuts around back and forth. Doing that with the keyframes is a little cumbersome.

I started creating 2 months ago with a crappy editor, I switched to resolve recently and I'm not going back. One tip I have for creators is to find a way to integrate zooms into your videos, they give emphasis and make elements of your video stick out, just make sure to check dynamic zoom so it is smooth. Also, fading out is a great way to end a video.
