People are so scared to look dumb, that they are afraid to look at the possibility and spend more time trying to debunk something than looking at both sides of the argument

Yep. I've learned not to share my experiences with just anyone. Even certain close friends and family that are even willing to hear me out start looking at me like I might've gone nuts. At this point, people in my life know I've experienced things. If they want to ask about, I'll share, but I don't bring it up. I'm not a fan of being perceived as dumb or crazy, and forcing the issue only makes it worse. Some people are SO scared of seeming foolish, they don't even want to be guilty by association with things society considers foolish. In a way, it's like the opposite of curiosity. It's like an anti-curiosity, where even considering things hypothetically becomes uncomfortable and they'd rather not. I get it, but it's too late for me. Almost seems nice...

‘illusory truth effect.’ Essentially, the more people who see or hear a piece of misinformation that isn’t challenged, the more likely that misinformation seems true. Often misinformation tugs at your emotions, grabs your attention, and is undeniably appealing. This causes it to spread faster, thereby becoming repetitious, and sticking in people’s thoughts and beliefs."

Civilizations that just believed in unproven fantasy, imagination, fears, dreams and superstitions and don't believe in science, go extinct. Cuz they stay and think just giving a sacrifice to a volcano will solve the problem of the volcano that's erupting. Both my Father-in-Law (USAF Col.) and my father worked on the space program and Apollo missions. They both said that there are so many UFOs flying around that the astronauts were thoroughly briefed on what to expect and to not interact with them by order of the President. Hours of footage taken by the military since the 40's. One film shows a UFO landing at Edwards air force base in the early 50's in front of one the future astronauts (then a test pilot) and his ground crew. The UFO shown in this video had an acceleration rate of >200 Gs. That is >2 kilometers/second acceleration

9:40 That's from our perspective, a civilization that can travel to and inhabit multiple planets would probably number in the trillions if not more. We also don't know what a group that lasts millions or billions of years would look like nor how spread out they would be across our universe. 10:03 Our planet and solar system are constantly moving in space, we can't find a signal that's never going to be in the same spot

Not too long ago another signal was heard and the scientific community had a meeting to discuss if we should reply to the message. It was decided by the group led by Stephen Hawkins that it was in our best interest to not answer the message. Because answering could cause us to meet something that is smarter then we are and we would have no control of what it decided to do if it found us.

One reason why we might be the first lifeforms to travel in space is because the universe is still very young relative to the age it will be at the end (star formation will likely continue for 100 trillion years, and blackholes may exist for a google years). The number of concurrent lifeforms in the universe might follow a bell curve, where it'd be logical to think the most lifeforms alive at any given instant would be right in the middle of the bell curve. At "only" 14 billion years old, the universe is still super young, so it's entirely possible that we are among the earliest lifeforms - and if there are others they are probably randomly located throughout the universe...which is so ludicrously gigantic it's unlikely they are anywhere near enough to get here, even if they traveled at the speed of light.

I have a Math and Physics ungraduate degree, graduate courses in Astronomy and Astrophysics and am an amateur telescope viewer- so know enough to be dangerous. I seriously believe from the scientific articles on biology that the leap from one cell animals to multi-cell animals is HUGE but once achieved then a planet CAN develop more advanced life. Once that stage is reached it has to survive comets, natural weather disasters, disease, solar flares, and self-annihilation from AI, bioweapons, nukes etc before it might start to spread around the galaxy. So with that context I believe that there are MANY "exoplanets" around other stars that may have oceans with microbes in it, or algae or lichen on the land, but very few if any that would have animal life or advanced animals like humans, chimps, dolphin, whales etc that could communicate. Sea creatures that never migrated to land would not have hands or legs and would be unable to build transmitters, rockets or other tools- so only the land based creatures have chance of developing technology we could detect. So my semi-informed opinion is that if we ever develop transport fast enough to visit nearby stars (or even visit the warm oceans on moons surrounding the outer planets in our own system) we are very likely to just find microbes. Any civilization that developed millions of years ahead of us would likely send robotic drones to monitor us, so it is not surprising that these UFOs have g-forces of 20-80 that would kill a living pilot. If anything they are VERY advanced drones sending back scientific data to the creatures who sent them. If you were an advanced species you would send such probes to 100s if not thousands of worlds, see if any of them had dangerous life that might try to kill you, and then make contact with those who are friendly or worse the ones you could conquer. Just like Spain, France, and England coming to The Americas and having small armies overthrow everyone and take their valuables. Also if they are that advanced they might consider US too boring to deal with. Would you travel 500 light years to speak with a squirrel? I suspect WE will have to pass some of these "great filters" that could end the Earth, AI, global warming, war, nukes etc before they might think of us as even worthy of contacting...we would have to stop being "savages" in their minds

I used to work in a village on the coast in Cornwall, I’d have to walk to and from work in the early hours of the morning. One morning I saw this rectangular tictac shaped object hovering over the ocean near st Agnes. It took me by surprise, For the five years I’d previously walked this route along the coast I had never seen anything like it before I generally couldn’t explain it. After watching it for a few minutes it shot up into the sky in a blink on an eye. literally only took a millisecond in hyper speed. I’ve only ever seen anything like it once and I’ve never seen anything like it again myself. Until last year when the reports of tictac shaped objects were being reportedly spotted in America. Which was soon covered up by the fact that they were just more spy balloons that later reported as being shot down. Soon after that it all went quiet and no more information was ever released.

First, Mom, thanks for the comment. The drones fly out of Creech AF Facility, which is supported by Nellis but not on Nellis. All of this is pretty much common knowledge for those of us who have lived in Las Vegas, NV for some time. Nellis AFB is more famously known as the home base for the USAF Tunderbirds aerial demonstration team and also Red Flag (USAF version of Top Gun, sort of). Those planets are trillions of years to the trillionth power away from us with our poop rockets. Unless we got Wrath of Kahn cryostasis units, we ain't getting near them. And even then we'd need an Enterprise to give us a lift like Kahn too.😄😄

Mike is right. It takes too long with current means of propulsion to get to nearby stars (and their solar systems that may have planets with life).

Please include more topics like this on your channel! True or not, they spark interesting discussion. Please don't watch the shows that are obviously biased towards extraterrestrial life, but ones that discuss credible individuals, often with military experience. Joe Rogan and Lex Fridman have a lot of guests that discuss the realities of such life.

Wasn't the WOW signal later clarified as signal from a Pulsating Neutron star, or a Pulsar?

A big reason it's not usually a global effort is because most countries wouldn't invest so heavily into it like the US would so the US just funds their own programs.

Honestly don’t know what kind of technology it is but I would assume it’s more ancient technology that we as people have had for long time

The Wow! signal is really interesting. Almost all natural explanations, including the comets MrBallen mentioned have been effectively debunked.

You guys should watch some of the documentaries on UFO’s. People have seen the tic tac and other things since at least 1940. With photos. They are the same objects we see today. There is no way anyone had that kind of technology then or now. I believe it was the carrier USS Rosevelt (I’m not exactly sure of the name) that was used in one of the videos. One of the high ranking officers that saw these objects on radar, talked about how the objects were raining out of the sky and his life and career was ruined. Ruined by other people in the military. They made fun of him and dogged him so much for speaking out about what he saw. He said he was depressed for so long because he had a great career and it ended over this. When the Nimitz videos were released he was so happy because it validated what he saw. I believe these people who speak out. If you think about it, just as we sent out Hubble and James Webb, who is to say other planets aren’t doing the same. Some of the craft we see could be scouts not actual aliens on board. Maybe they are as interested in us as we are them. Just because the James Webb didn’t see an alien doesn’t mean they aren’t there. 🌟🌍🌙

Let's be real here... the JWT is not designed to take a picture of aliens, it is designed to look into the distant space (and therefore time) and observe what the early universe looked like and maybe make some large scale observations. On that scale advanced technology, inhabited planets/systems, or even remnants of advanced enough civilizations would not be observed... unless... the civilization is advanced enough to effect the large scale, such as constructing a Dyson Sphere, or a Black Hole Generator... something large that could be seen by the JWT.

About the second case discussion, there's cases everywhere, because you dismiss as hoax you just don't know. Even in Great Britain, there's a famous case in a nuclear missile facility, there's also famous cases here where I live in Brazil too with multiple fatalities even. In fact you can find cases everywhere in the world, even in Africa there's a famous event where a whole school minus the director saw a saucer landed near the school and aliens coming out of the spacecraft and talking with those children telepathically, they were even interview by a famous american psychologist at the time that said he thinks that on the kids mind the event was real. Even in prior decades the organization and magazine MUFON had even a whole storage facility full of shelf's with cases of UFO of all kinds as archives. But there's many types of conspiracy about it, if you want to learn more you should watch the channel "Who files" here on youtube, he does a fantastic job explaining know conspiracy including many alien ones. A fascinating channel. And if you really want to learn more about you should think of watching the series, "The Secrets of Skinwalker Ranch" on the HISTORY channel, they even have the first season fully on their official channel here on youtube. And the leading scientist Dr. Travis Taylor in charge of the investigation was also the leading scientist on the recent UAP Pentagon Investigation. Since then he has left the gov. project but over the now 4 season of the show he has done a lot of research on the UFO phenomena inside the ranch with his team of helping hands and countless sensor and at least a dozen experiments, they even have armed security since there's some scary and crazy stories reporter over the years in the area. The place was also own by Robert Bigelow that it's a billionaire on the aero-space industry.
