Was a long time ago, not a lot of people probably knew about all details about research, before internet information traveled slow. Now it would be probably possibale, but it's past for most folk so they wouldn't care that much.

Honestly, that crap should be exposed by default. It's not a matter of approval percentage. When someone does something that heinous or worse, it should be out in the open, no exceptions, no arguments.

It’s really unfortunate that this story probably would have turned out differently had it happened today. With the existence of modern internet, news coverage of this story would have spread MUCH faster and would’ve gained a lot more traction and support. Which would have made it even harder for the orphanage to keep this crap under lock and key.

@@freddymcshreddy6586 Doubt it. There was a lot of rich people involved and probably even the government. And they would make sure this stuff stays out of the public eyes like they have done with so many other things. They chose 2066 not because all the children involved would be dead at that point. But rather because all the Doctors etc that were involved would be dead at that point. So you can't hold anyone accountable anymore. And i am also 100% convinced that they still do social studies on orphans in this place. Or all kinds of other things. Its not a coincidence that this place is the number one supplier of adopted children for the rich elite.

What pisses me off about the triplet story is that they knew the father for David was abusive based on a previous adopted child, and not only did they leave that kid there, they put David in there too…they set him up for a lifetime of emotional trauma.

The one contributor to the study, the woman Mr. Ballin showed, she said that the study proved that genetics makes the person irregardless of environment, that "nature" supersedes nurture....however, the study ended up showing (unintentionally) through eddie's suicide, that nurture is just as important. The kids were genetic copies of each other, yet had very different environments in which they were brought up....the one who had a harder upbringing (at least in terms of his relationship with his father) is the one who committed suicide. There is an interplay between nature and nurture, between genetics, genetic expression and environment.

#2 sounds super believable, like that's something I would do without even thinking twice about it. I think that's what makes it so scary though, like how we misplace our keys or have two things in our hands like a phone and a drink then try to take a sip of the drink and accidentally bring the phone to our mouth instead.. Only if it's a parachute and you're plummeting towards the ground, it's not just 'oops' it's death.

There's a BBC series called Orphan Black which is about a woman named Sarah who discovers she's one of several clones, each raised in their own unique lifestyles in different countries, and the plot follows the clones as they attempt to uncover the truth of their existence. Its such a good show and Tatiana Maslany portrays each clone so well you will forget its the same person acting each role. Its like the Three Identical Strangers story on steroids and a show I absolutely recommend anyone who likes that kind of sci-fi mystery stuff.

The conclusion they made from the study was complete BS. Likely one of the reasons they sealed the information, aside from it being unethical is that reality of the results proved their conclusion either completely wrong or inconclusive. Sure the brothers shared many interests, but as evidenced by the breakdown of their relationship over business and how they reacted to other scenarios, there personalities were quite different.

If it's actually true that it's all nature, then criminals are kinda fucked, because that means evil is actually born... The world right now functions alot on nurture being actually effective, so if that's not true, it kinda changes things. But I have my suspicions, that this is just one study, that shows that twins and triplets share a lot of similar interests, but mental state can be heavily influenced by upbringing, and that determines which coping mechanisms you develop, so that might become the new question, which upbringing is best.

It's blatantly both genetics and nurture. Any reputable biologist or psychiatrist would know that. Your DNA is the blueprints for what you can do and become, then experience/exposure influences what degree of each part is biologically triggered. There's also RNA from viruses which we sometimes permanently contract from viruses, but that's a whole other subject. On a side note, nature is responsible for literally everything, including what we humans create. So, I don't understand why it's still used as a term to differentiate.
