Saddest thing about Tyler for me- Is in his "interview" video, he literally says how "Hope she's there for me more, because I wanna make it haha- We'll make it" Obviously nervous about not living through this situation, and trying to reassure himself that it'll be fine- And yet he did in fact die. Wu's death can't justly be described by the word "tragic", it is beyond what the word encapsulates. His sick mother depended on him to support her and his girlfriend, who was pregnant if I don't misremember, was to be proposed to after this stunt. Wu was reckless and toiled under the demands of his need to inflate his fame by doing increasingly dumb stunts, and it cost him everything. But the true repercussions of his death were felt by those that survived him. Condolences.

You don't have to be afraid of skydiving, because you never stay up 😉 (I used to be a skydiver - but unlike the story above, we paid a lot of attention to security. No one could jump without the _monthly_ trigger lock exam. At the beginning of each year, before starting the jump period we made whole knowledge refreshing (including meteorology and aerodynamics) and security course. Our leader instructor was very strict. I live in Hungary, Europe.)

A week after my first tandem jump, my instructor was carrying another client. They were deploying backwards from the open door of a beechcraft when his chute partially opened, sucking them both out of the plane and entangling around the tail section, beating them against the plane. This continued until the tail section broke apart, release/cutting free the parachute. Now in near freefall on a very partial chute, the badly damaged main couldnt release and prevented the reserve from deploying. Despite all these challenges, the instructor had the presence of mind to influence the landing in some way while wrapping around his student to protect her. He broke every bone in his body and suffered multiple internal injuries, remaining in the hospital for months and ending his professional skydiving career. His student? She had a sprained wrist and badly bruised knee. Ask for credentials, licenses and other proof of capability, folks.

Mexico crime rate is 98% more than the U.S. they have 10 cartels, 11.6 million illegal Mexicans were in the U.S. 4 years ago and it has only gone up since then. If America isn’t any better then why are Mexicans constantly escape their country to live a better life in America? It is because America is the best country in the world and it has been for a long time. Mexico has beautiful landscape and delicious food but that doesn’t make it a good country. If the lazy Mexican government did its job the country wouldn’t be a nasty dumpster fire. But the politicians are all bribed by the cartels and the country would stay like that unless a better country helps.

But damn 40 million?! Thats an unusually huge settlement. Most cases ive personally heard about amount to maybe 3-5 million for wrongful death, not including additional life insurance. 40 million put that family into the ultra-wealthy category instantly. Invest that over just a few years and you're well on the way to being billionaires. Ive gotta think that was a typo of some kind
@221BBakerStreet
@221BBakerStreet 3 жыл бұрын
@@creator4413 The reason the settlement was so much was because of the willfull negligence. The owner/operator was not only employing people who he KNEW were not qualified to do the job, he also deliberately ignored safety protocols. And not just once. He had a history of not following safety guidelines. He was completely indifferent to the fact that he was putting these people's lives at risk. And I think the way you talked about "investing the money over a few years to become billionares" was really tactless. You make it sound like they would be gleefull to receive so much money. I bet they'd much rather have their son back.

Tyler's fate was horrible and I am shocked that the skydiving place hadn't been held accountable before but I am also pretty shocked that Tyler and his family didn't do any research whatsoever on the place they were about to freaking skydive with! If you're doing something as dangerous as skydiving you do extensive research about the place and the man you'll be tandem jumping with!! I would NEVER just choose a place and that was it, I'd do a deep dive into that particular company before I ever did that. Not that I ever would skydive but it's tragic that if they'd done some research they'd have seen that that place was a death trap.

I feel impressed to speak. My parents became skydivers in the late 1990s. Rules were loose then . My parents both achieved over 6,000 jumps and performed in shows. My 2 older sisters had successful tandem jumps. I would never do so because it was not my thing. My dad, as a doctor , witnessed and through obligation , had to check out a couple of bounces that occurred. Both were on their solo jump, which usually happened after a fifth assisted jump at this time. One got caught up in a her main chute that wrapped around her arm and she cut it and went to her reserve too late. I don't remember the specifics of the second. I know he was young and a college student. There is a risk with this sport. I like that Mr. Ballin uses correct terminology (staging area). I am a new listener and I like the way he presents these true stories.

When you said Sinaloa, that was all I needed to hear to understand. I was about to be stationed at Ft. Bliss & was really excited because my friends had told me how they could go to Mexico on weekends, so I couldn’t wait! Got there & my dreams of partying in Mexico were shot down immediately! Soldiers had been barred from crossing the border because of the drug war & Juarez being so dangerous at the time. Cartels were actively trying to recruit soldiers to run their drugs across the border because they could get through easier. I loved El Paso, I’d still be there if it weren’t for my wife’s job, but I got to see a different side of the drug violence & illlegal border crossings that most Americans don’t understand & others refuse to admit is real.

Side note to the Chalino saga: Chalino Sanchez had a son who was 8 years old when Chalino died. Adan Chalino Sanchez followed his legendary father's footsteps to become a singer. Sánchez made history on March 20, 2004, when he became the youngest headliner and first Regional-Mexican recording artist to sell out the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. "I don't think there are enough words to describe what I'm feeling at this time," Sánchez stated when the show was announced. "Getting to perform at this international venue is perhaps one of the biggest dreams ever and to date, the biggest challenge I've faced in my musical career." One week after the concert on March 20, 2004, Sánchez embarked on a promotional road-tour through his father's home state of Sinaloa, Mexico. He was on his way to a concert in Tuxpan, Nayarit, Mexico, on the highway between Rosario and Escuinapa, when the 1990 Lincoln Town Car, owned by his father, blew a tire. According to police, the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled into a ditch. The performer sustained severe head injuries and was found dead at the scene. More than 10,000 fans filled the streets outside the Los Angeles church where his funeral mass was held.

Man the moment the owner comes in to stop the safety guidelines vid I wouldn’t have proceeded my gut feelings are always strong and never wrong whether I listen to them or not. Especially with paranormal crap unfortunately. Anyway I could tell that young man was a genuinely good person and it was his time. He did what he was supposed to do on this earth just as a human being. Only the good die young. As soon as I saw that old man’s pic I got demonic vibes. The devil asked God permission to end this boys life but little does that thing know he’s either going straight to heaven or a second life on earth. I will never understand God but I know he gives second chances to the deserving out of love
