Yep, he is so good at telling stories ......by memory. This is how I tell a story when I'm speaking about something I experienced or witnessed. This dude tells other peoples stories with such detail, as if he was there. Never a pause or stutter, he has such enthusiasm, and a likeability. Truly doing what he is meant to do. He pulls you in and doesn't let you go until he's done. Outstanding story teller.

That's what I thought, too. Geez. Brave is one thing. Being dumb is another. She and 2 kids were home alone. She should have never gone outside. She should have just called police and let them check the outside of the house. They don't mind. In fact, I think they'd prefer that over having to come later to investigate the murders of 2 little kids and their mom. ☹️

That second story struck home. I had a similar incident where I thought I heard something horrible happening when I was around 7-8. I've always had super human level hearing. I can even hear dog whistles. We lived in an upper middle-class suburban neighborhood in Northern Virginia. I woke up in the middle of the night hearing a woman screaming bloody murder for help. I ran down the hallway and woke up my mom to tell her. She comforted me, told me it was probably a nightmare because no one else heard anything, and I went back to bed. I was visiting home during a break at college one year when she finally told me the truth. She called the police after she sent me to bed that night and insisted they come search within the next two streets from us because she knew how good my hearing was. She called back multiple times to check up on her report. The police arrived at a house 2 streets down from us and saved a woman from her husband who had been attacking her with a hatchet. She'd managed to lock herself in their bathroom, and they said she'd have died from blood loss if they'd arrived any later. My hearing and my mom's instincts saved her life. We were the only house that called in her screams. No one else reported hearing them.

I have some avid train nerds in my family and it is a well known fact that mannny taggers get hit by trains because it is very hard to hear a train coming when you are directly in its travel path. Weird, but true. If the helicopter was going straight at him at a decent speed there is a chance he wouldn't of even had time to look up before impact, regardless of headphones. This wasn't because he did anything wrong. Headphones are far more dangerous at night or in secluded areas where animals or people can sneak up on you. I find it odd that it's implyed that if he had not been wearing headphones, he would've survived. It's a large assumption and kinda victim blamey. I am sorry this happened to him, truely a tragedy.

The Second Story really brought up unpleasant memories for me, when I was in Eighth grade, I had been sick for a whole week, my stomach didn't feel good, I could barely hold anything down, and I could barely climb out of bed. Then on a Thursday night, around 1am, something hard hit my head, then I looked towards my window to find someone right outside my window, with his hands on my windowsill. He asked if this was my sister's house, I tiredly said yes, then got up and went to the bathroom, thinking I was just imagining things. Then, when I climbed back in bed, the rocks he had thrown at me hurt my back, and I ran to my parent's room, telling them that someone was outside. My mom had no idea what I was saying then, I had finally said it clearly and my parents were instantly up and alerted. My dad grabbed his gun, my mom walked with me back to my room and saw the rocks in my bed, so they knew I wasn't lying. Turns out, it was my sister's boyfriend. She had asked him to come over, so they could 'do stuff' but she didn't expect him to come to the house at 1am. He hiked 5 miles to our house, traumatized me, and apparently my sister was 'traumatized' the worst. Anyway, I don't know who'll see this, but I just felt like sharing my story.

Rabies is almost exclusively in bats in developed countries . Mammals rarely have it in developed countries because it has been controlled. Dreams, sleep & the way the brain works are all so strange.. I’ve had "lucid dreams” where I realized I was dreaming & could control myself in my dream. Once I was dreaming I was doing something in the kitchen when I realized I was dreaming, so I looked around the dream kitchen & saw a newspaper on the table so I decided to pick it up & see what "news” was in it, but when I tried to read the words the letters were constantly changing shapes.. it was like my brain couldn’t make things up anymore because I had realized I was somewhat controlling it. I also had what I thought was sleep paralysis once where my mind completely woke up, I was fully awake & alert mentally but couldn’t get my body to wake up. I was struggling to sit up but my brain & body just weren’t cooperating. I’ve also heard people say that when you dream you’re falling from a tall building you’ll always wake up before you hit the ground, otherwise you’d die in real life, but that’s not true because I had a dream where I was falling from a tall building & slammed right into the sidewalk. I didn’t die in real life :)

The new danger in Europe are golden jackals. They’re the largest species of Jackal in the world, and were formerly only found in very south Europe like Greece, they’re essentially the equivalent of a Coyote. The problem is that despite being found naturally in far Southern Europe and other warm areas, they’ve spread all the way to the north sea coast countries like the Netherlands and Finland and rest of Europe.Worse still, they are extremely good at living amongst people, favouring those environments and being unnoticed.Meaning if a child for example is left alone they may take them. And because they become used to people, they will inevitably attack people by association of people with food.

I can understand why he was so shaken up after seeing a moose for the first time. You don't realize how big they actually are unless you've seen one in person. First time I saw one I was taking my daughter to the bus stop for school at 6am and this huge bull moose just casually stepped out of the trees and into the road in front of us. I was driving a small pick up truck and it was dwarfed by the size of the moose. My kid went wide eyed and just slowly slid down in her seat saying "Ma.. what is that?!?". I was pretty much doing the same thing and all I could say was, "Moose.. that's a freaking moose". And the whole time the moose is just standing in the middle of the road, blocking the way and staring right at us. I swear he was thinking "That's right puny humans. Tremble before me for I am a forest God". Whole encounter lasted about 5 minutes but seemed like 30. It was such a humbling and awe inspiring moment.

It happened during school hours at recess or lunch hour (I cant quite remember but we were all outside), and a bunch of us saw the helicopter crash from our school field. It was loud and close, and I remember everyone saying that the pilot was a hero that day and had saved a bunch of lives, as the helicopter was going to crash on the school feild had he not redirected it just in time. That was a very tragic day for everyone involved, and I did not know about Isaiah's friend being the one to take the photos of the crash though, that just makes it so much sadder! TF WAS THAT LAST STORY??? I don't know why that's so much more creepy than most creepy stories. Maybe because it was so unexpected.

While visiting Alaska several years ago, I was turning a corner on a sidewalk only to come face to shoulder with a moose. They are enormous creatures. I wasn't quite sure what to do. I stood perfectly still. He sniffed me and slowly sauntered past me. It was then that I remembered to breathe. The locals who witnessed the encounter said that I did everything right. I was quite shaken due to his size. I had no idea they were that massive. Thank you for your storytelling, John. I am always thrilled to see a new post. Am enjoying your podcast immensely.

@Susan Wojcicki Bolshevik from Poland I'm glad you replied. Usually it's just trolls that will put in lol, rotfl, lmfao; you get it. These after an extremely difficult video that in the news or in any case known to be true. I've learned to just keep scrolling as they are seeking attention even if though sucks they did it in the first place. Now, your original reply that you like to see things die, I though, okay, another live one. But your reasoning on the last reply was articulate and reasonable. So may I ask why you started with I like to see thinks die, followed by Oops I like cute animals. Isn't that the same sort of thing? You're seeking attention or trying to insert yourself into others real feelings of being upset. Is it shock and awe? I'm NOT trying to fight with you. Quite the opposite. If can shine me on or you could tell me why. Either way. Bless you and have a wonderful day.
