I might have to get myself one of those now, that is super nice, love the 2 compartments to do multiple things at the same time. Was also nice to be able to take the middle bit out as well to trun it into a mini oven. I doubt a pizza would fit in it, maybe if you cut it in half and put 2 trays in it for top and bottom then swap them half way through. Also have a great xmas and wishing you a great new year Barry and family. See you on the other side.

Just to note that this air fryer is from Breville UK, which is a different brand than the Australian-owned Breville found in the rest of the world. The Breville trademark in the UK is owned by Newell Brands, which owns Sunbeam and a whole lot of other consumer brands. This fryer is sold elsewhere as a Sunbeam or an Oster product. *Real* Breville products are branded as SAGE in the UK and Europe.

After watching this series my wife said she wished we had an air fryer… so I pointed out that we did in fact have one. It’s incredibly old and at the back of a cupboard but we got it out and made some chips. It’s an OG Tefal Actifry that constantly stirs the food. So actual air frying since it’s constantly circulating that small amount of hot oil.

Still have that and we've been using it for years. If you take the stir thingy out, you can use it as a normal air fryer, but you do have to move the food around a bit. We do roast potatoes, gammon shanks, etc. Works pretty well. Only downside to it is that it's a very awkward shape and uses up a lot of space.

My first air fryer was an oven type and I bought it because it had a rotisserie setting! I made many a rotisserie chicken and they only took about an hour! When it stopped working I downsized because it’s just me now. I ended up finding one with a glass bucket so I can see the progress of what I’m cooking! I hadn’t really thought about the fact my air fryer oven had a window until you mentioned it in one of your videos! Thank you for that hugely helpful tip! I still make rotisserie chicken but not it’s in the toaster oven I bought after my first air fryer stopped working! It takes a little longer but with the convection oven setting in the toaster oven it’s not too bad!

I bought a ninja air fryer for £149.99 and it's outstanding. I personally wouldn't buy your one because I have arthritis in my hands and trying to mess about with the handle would be tough for me. I also (for jacket spuds) do them in the microwave 1st then finish them in the air fryer for the crispy skin. Air fryers do use quite alot of electricity it's just that they are much smaller than an oven so cook things much faster is why they use less energy than your oven overall but air fryers do use alot more energy than people think. By comparison microwaves use much less so doing things like spuds in the microwave 1st uses less energy overall. (Which is also why I would never use an air fryer to heat beans up

I've found the multi-function square air fryer/combo device do only fair on everything-including air frying. The bucket air fryers do the best at air frying-the hot air circulation seems to be better.

Yeah I have found the tower air fryer to be not that much quicker at cooking than the over but it is considerably cheaper than running my over as I live alone, can make a whole roast in there for myself, hardly use my oven now, the bucket ones certainly do cook alot quicker though, I guess without the door and viewing window they hold in the heat alot better.

It also has a solid tray that you can put anything you want on it or to catch the juices from whatever you are cooking above. It has an air fryer function and an oven function. It has a window in the door and a light so you can see how things are going. Oh and it comes with the spit to put the chicken on to roast it. I rarely use my oven. It's an Anko brand. It's a very interesting and clever design - my only concern about it is whether the air fry function is truly air frying (as in, high heating element, strong fans, and exhausting moist air out) I've seen many toaster ovens claim to be air fryers but in actuality they just slapped on a weak fan for a convection mode and pretended that it's air frying. It's fine for mild roasting but it'll never be truly air frying.

If you were starting a new and had limited space, this appliance could serve numerous purposes. But, if you already have a toaster oven and bread toaster and other gadgets, there's a lot of overlap and it takes up quite a bit of space. It's most likely unserviceable for most people and there's plenty on it to break after a few months use. So, it will be worth revisiting in a year to see how it has held up.

I got a Chefman one with a window in the front for around £40 on Amazon just before black friday. It is a bit more work to clean than models without a window in the bucket, since it adds some little crevices, but the window and light are super handy for checking on things. It was much nicer than I expected it to be given the price (which was more expensive on black friday than what I paid...). I'm sure there is some value add in the more common name brand models (Maybe the warranties?), but I'm happy.

Breville & breville UK are not the same company, in the UK the name has been licensed. Breville uses the brand name sage here. Breville UK has the reputation for being cheap and cheerful/ basic, borderline tat depending on the item Vs sage being expensive, quality, boogie af with collaborations with people like Heston Blumenthal. They are very much two very different ends of the spectrum brand wise here.

Hello Barry, thanks for sharing... why don't you put the grilling Tray at the bottom, then put your ingredients in a ovenproof bowl or plate and place it on top of the grill. That WAY when you put the Light on, you can see the food. No need to use the bucket. Could you plse review the FAGO air fryer? Heard it's a good one, just like an oven. Thanks, love what you doing, hi to Mrs B! 😊

I have a different Brevel airfyer/oven. I haven’t used my real oven in over 2 years!! It is literally pan storage.

A dual heater with elements on top and bottom is still the best, ninja has one.

Hi. Just wondering if you have reviewed the Ninja speedi. I think it's fantastic. There is a new model called the Ninja Combi. Only airfryer I know that you can put liquid in and steam/boil and airfry at the same time

Buying a cheap air fryer is always the best. Sure the cheap ones you can't see but it's not so different than just pulling it out to check.

I have this exact model myself and while yes I guess it does feel cheap, I personally love it my previous one (different manufacturer) was good but it didn't have a dual cooking thing. I agree it does feel a smidge cheap but I haven't had any issues with under cooking if anything to me I'm tending to go little under the time conversion recommendations as some things were over cooking. I agree on the handle thing I tend to have to use oven gloves or similar for the trays the handle seems only to be designed for the bucket and for me sometimes the timer buttons seem to either be too sensitive and reduce the timer super quickly or the opposite and need a couple of presses. Overall though I'm pretty happy with it.

In the home market , Australia, Breville is reputed to have introduced planned obsolescence, for about 40 years now they've been built to fail.

Great video, as usual, Barry!! Not available yet here in USA. I would love to have that but want to see how long it works for you, Melaney from SoCal

And it probably won't be. As others mentioned Breville in the US and Europe are two different companies. Sage is the US Breville on the other side of the pond.
