He made us hard to beat, to dominate when possible and to be clinical in our finishing. His work with Bowen made him the player he is today. Just need 1 goal from DCL to lift his low confidence. Moyes immediately defensive with arms folded does not bode well. He did well for Everton when his ego was in check and he was brave. Defensive, stubborn rubbish has defined the majority of his career - when nepotism (Goven) granted him the Red Devil chief position his managerial career has stagnated. When he had to prove himself, free of this ego defensive nonsense, he made the name he still trades off to this day. More of that please, less of this tried and tested proven rubbish from his first lineup asap please.

As soon as this managerial change was made, relegation became possible (but it won't happen) and Liverpool suddenly licked their lips over that game in hand. Dyche was dull, but the team was tough to score against. That won't be the case now.

@@zapre2284 Yes, Everton have been poor under Dyche. But in the five games prior to sacking him, they'd given up only four goals. And that was against Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth -- all much stronger teams. I still don't see the logic in appointing David Moyes, certainly not at this point in the season. But Everton will survive anyway, as the bottom three teams are even worse.
