@waccness4495 ай бұрын
@@Terrjo606 just explained how it would make no difference. If you want 10% of billionaires to be half as philanthropic as Jimmy, the world would be the same for the simple reason that there isn’t enough money to go around. Money is how you make improvements. There is nothing wrong with wanting to amass wealth, because in turn you provide a benefit to others, because that’s why they’re paying you in the first place. The billionaires have that money they do because of what they provide, otherwise people wouldn’t pay them that much. My point is that people should stay in their own lane and focus on what they do best, that’s how you give the most you can to the world. While charity is good for a community, it can only go so far. We don’t need to imagine “what if the billionaires were more caring?” It doesn’t matter. They can’t do a lot. Just focus on yourself

@jamess.24915 ай бұрын
@@christianbarrr9936 I disagree, most of the wealthiest people I've met (some multi-billionaires) all don't really care about money. For them it's about power. Whether you use that power for good or for evil is up to you, and as you said it takes a great will not to be corrupted by that power.
@Runningoutofideas1514 ай бұрын
People misinterpret happiness for comfort. People don’t try to buy happiness, they try to buy comfort. Where people go wrong is they think happiness is comfort, and keep chasing that, when you can only be so comfortable. And then they get depressed because they realize the threshold for maximum comfort is actually pretty low, if not, behind where they started. They just needed to realize that in that first place.

I'm not rich but I've had some tastes of luxury and I realized that its not everything its cracked out to be. Stayed at this country club in rich florida where people pay 7k a month rent to stay in season, and outside of the beautiful weather, it was such a soulless place. Entitled karens EVERYWHERE, endless shopping plazas, dress code, gated community makes it harder to do a simple errand. Virtually all the patrons were older white people, and the entire staff at the clubhouse was Jamaican seasonal workers. There was something that made me feel deeply uncomfortable about seeing an all-black staff catering to a rich all-white clientele. I prefer my little condo up north, where we have a real community and people are genuine. The rich people who do live up here blend in to the small community and everyone knows each other.
