I absolutely love the effort that goes into these videos! Your style is very unique :) Thank you for your videos, Dylan!

My brain trying to comprehend this 🤯 I’ll have to learn Motion. Just learning FCP now. Can you do a series on how to organize and store media for projects. My biggest question mark starting out is I’ve seen so many videos and some differ on how to organize media, store it and minimize render files when done. If I’m creating TB of video I can see how if you don’t have a good organizational system it can spin out of control fast. Where should I import on my Mac. After import how to organize into FCP. Do I delete imported files after imported as some store in library and others recommend not to. Once project is done what to do and if you have to go back how do you find files if not in library. What if you have many drives you store the media on. All questions I’m in search of good answer and system before I have files everywhere

1. Try to keep all the footage at one place ( either mac or a ssd) 2. In fcp, select the option to leave files in its place ( this will avoid duplication thus, you will save space) 3. For best organisation make a default folder, make multiple folders inside like footage from camera A, camera B, songs, voice recording etc etc and a fcp folder, go to final cut pro, make a new library, keep this in your default-fcp folder Make multiple events inside fcp library which matches your folder in default folder Make 1 more event which contains your projects. For every new project, copy paste your default folder, Move all the footage to the respective folder, open fcp file and start editing..

Cool but it’s a lot of work! And like with all time consuming effects, you really need to ask yourself is it worth the time and effort. I personally would only consider doing all this if I felt I absolutely, totally needed a night to day scene in order to convey my message or tell my story. Maybe I will one day. Thanks for all your video.

The whole idea with this tutorial is to know how to do a cool animation to a toggle button, in this case using Mr Beast animation as example but it doesn't mean all these steps are necessary for a night and day scene, could be for a ON/OFF switch or whatever, is a matter of creativity

I wouldn't use this particular application of it either, but it's always good to be learning the how and why of these things because you can apply them to your own ideas.

100% understand and knew that while making the video! I make these more complex long videos to teach many concepts at once. There’s actually other ways to apply the stars, but I wanted to teach replicators. There’s better way of animating the slider, but I wanted to teach keyframing. Basically my hope is that people can take at least one idea from these videos, and apply it in a way they didn’t first consider! Also I just decided to make the MrBeast concept which is the same as many other ideas, but brings in more clicks haha!

Hey Dylan. You make it looks so easy but I recognise you must put so much hard working into creating both the designs and the video. Very many thanks for that. Am I going to make this button? Probably not, but I learn so much from watching your videos and without your help, I would not be making any progress at all with Apple Motion. You are a ROCK STAR and Scotland loves you!!!

Ironically this animation wasn’t even his, and as a result the vid got copyright claimed and taken down for a few days😂 Great content as always :)

This is fair use since I’m commenting on the animation, and completely re-making it! So I should be good… I hope 🤞
