Which fuse rating should I use for a 12V 100A LiFePO4 battery that will be connected to a 12V 1kW hybrid solar inverter?

What I never understood about these fuse housing is that the FUSED electrode is covered by the red cap - but the dangerous, unfused portion is left uncovered. This makes a little more sense to me now, seeing the installation example 2:38, where the battery terminal is also covered up a to and including the busbar on the MRBF holder. Still, the exposed busbar underneath bothers me, and I wonder if it might be a safer option to install this fuse holder backwards.

Hello, glad to hear your feedback. Yes the terminal on the battery stud side is normally covered by the battery's own cover (if any). Normally these type of products is covered to protection accidentally dropped metal from the top to avoid short circuit, and the bottom of the busbar is not covered. In most cases some part of the battery's positive stud would also be exposed (on the sides) so as long as all other conducting metals are properly covered on their top, this should fine. We have also increased the cover for the cables terminal studs and our covers are actually the largest in the market so it should provide plenty protection against short circuit of accidental drop.
