Mr B… your videos are just great. The way you articulate is perfect in my opinion. Accurate, friendly, straight to the point, not too much jargon and the perfect balance of humour. Thank you so much, I’ve subscribed

About place to record vocals. I have my amateur solution. I ordered my vocal booth from a local manufacturer. It's not like a huge pro studio, but it's cool, I don't hear echo/reverb. Neighbours don't hear me, it's like 2 walls and with cool acoustic isolation materials (apart from acoustic foam). I can shout in there and make irreversible damage to my vocal cords and get no complaints (ofc you shouldn't damage your cords).

Very good and funny video, i really like your lessons. I'm discovering your channel. You're the exact person who can make a very interesting and funny videos about blind test comparing perhaps a thousand dollar preamp vs budget preamp with 10% more volume and trick people. It's a little risky on haters haha. Cheers from Argentina.

Very informative and entertaining video! I've tried all sorts of ways to help hear pitch while recording. Strangely, one that seemed to work well was turning monitoring off but keeping the headphones on, only listening to the track. I can feel my mask resonance vibrate against the instrumental. Weird little trick that I'll use from time to time if I get stuck.

7:08 Hi, when you say adding artificial reflections by putting reverb in the headphone, do you mean putting reverb on the direct monitoring of the dry vocal so the singer hears their vocal wet in real time instead of dry vocal?

Maybe it's not so much about getting perfect results as it is creating a consistent unique sound emphasis on consistent Is there anything about phantom voltage we should know about or be concerned with when using microphones ?
@MrBinthestudio4 жыл бұрын
Hi Robert. Yes, I agree about consistency! For phantom power, just know that you need it for condenser mics. Dynamic mics don't usually need it, although there are some phantom-powered ribbon mics out there.

@@MrBinthestudio thank you so much for your reply. I do play a Persian Traditional Instrument. kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJ3Ip6J5ja1kp8U ( here is the link if interested to hear the sound) and I am a beginner at audio recording I like to record my improvisation to get ideas for songs. but I believe in general information about recording wood wind instrument would be useful for me. Thank so much

Wow, what a cool instrument! I'll give some thought to the woodwind video. In the meantime, here's a good one from Audio Technica: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oaqTYmt5qMRqb5o

I ger the best results with vocals ...and rhe vest microphone is a great singer ......if you cannot sing ....then you are missing the boat...and a lot people think money with expensive mics will help them...goodluck
