It is so rare to feel such a bond, or a connection with a main character. In games. God of war? The first red dead game? Others like it don’t have anywhere close to the connection that we have with Arthur. This scene made me tear up, because not only do I know that Arthur is riding to certain death, but he has also made his peace with it. Yet at the same time you remember Lenny, Hosea, and even silly old Sean. Those who had hearts of gold and would have stood by Arthur at this moment if they were still alive. Every company should take notes. This is how you write a game. This is how you develope a character. 😭😭😭

Probably help the nuns/donate/get the nun cutscene after helping sergant monroe. Alls I know is I got that version both times ive beat the game. Both times i did all the things listed above and have maxed honor, 2nd time I was sitting just to the right of center of the honor bar and still got it

Rockstar obviously gives you the choice to give the players more freedom, but its OBVIOUS this story is told through high honor, that's how Arthurs story ends. By playing it un honorably your basically changing its outcome, and ruining its story. So if you want to know the true journey of Arthur Morgan you have to make sure you have positive honor. That's what I think. This is about a man journey to self discovery, and ironically how it took DEATH for him to finally LIVE. Its about a man learning to love himself and fight to protect those around him ( in particular John Marston) from becoming him. A dying gunslinger with nothing to show for his life, who eventually dies alone. And what makes this such a special story is the fact that Arthur chose this path before death NOT to get pity, NOT to be forgiven, NOT to buy his way too heaven...but simply to do ONE thing right before he left this world AMAZING STORY, PLOT, MESSAGE, AND SILVER LINING

I went through the game with high honor, and you’d have to be dead inside not to choke up on that final ride lol. It’s hard to explain the connection you get to Arthur throughout the game to someone who has never played the game or doesn’t play video games like my wife. The end of this game was satisfying for sure, but man did it hurt, makes you reflect a little bit on your life. The storyline in this game is second to none and is a legitimate masterpiece.

When I played through this the first time, I didn't expect it to be so much more immersive than GTA. The level of detail put into this game is very underappreciated and the amount of character development is one of the best among any game of all time. I was absolutely floored at the story mode and how much it gave me the feels. This game is a masterpiece....a true work of art.

One main difference I noticed between the rides was not the color or quotes, but the music itself. You can hear on the high honor ride, the song itself is still somber but uplifting in a way, as opposed to the low honor the music sounds a little more dark and ominous.

When I played with Arthur my first time I ended of with low honor and that’s because when I play it for my first time I didn’t watch any videos about rdr2 because of spoilers and on my second time I went for high honor and when you look back a second time you nuts a lot and the Riding part my first time doing it I cry when Abigail gave the key to Arthur and when I look back Arthur care about the gang more then anyone else and Arthur is a character that RockstarGames made into a person in real life and Arthur Morgan is if not the best character in my opinion because all you go throw to confront micah and the gang and died from Micah and the TB and how Arthur is remember throughout the epilogue is really cool and shows a lot of detail that rockstar put And how important he was to the gang

Keeping Arthur’s honor low is actually harder than one might think from where he’s the main protagonist. Being mean to townsfolk and committing heinous acts will keep his honor low but in chapter 6 his honor can go way up by kicking Strauss out of camp, by helping the widow, and by helping Hamish Sinclair. I have Marston play the veteran side mission so I can keep Buell but no matter how mean I make Arthur I always have him help Charlotte so she doesn’t end up dead in the epilogue. Charlotte is the one special exception for my “dishonorable” playthroughs. Arthur and Charlotte could’ve been an item if Arthur hadn’t gotten sick IMO and I’m sure she wouldn’t dump him like Mary Linton did. In a way low honor playthroughs are easier for me because I, as the player, don’t miss Arthur so much after he dies.

Honestly considering the split way the end of the game goes regardless of honor the low honor comments are more impactful to the ending, Morgan is trying to get some redemption and closure at the end of his life for the life he lead. If its the high honor comments its more of an affirmation of the person he never was considering the context of his life and the game we played.
