14:48 "we asked all of the golfers what were their bowling goals". Simpsons calls them golfers more than once. I guess that's what he normally announced for.

Steve Neff talked way too much. During the first game, he was both the main announcer and analyst. I think Jim Simpson told him to be quieter in the finals. My appreciation for Chris and Nelson went way up after listening to these two guys. The conditions must have been very bad since all 8 bowlers did not bowl well for being who they were. A very grinding semi and finals.

Jim Simpson doesn't know shit about bowling, obviously. You can tell by his verbage. Much like that assclown Rob Stone, it just makes you yearn for Chris and Bo. 😣

Who the HELL was the network commentator on this one? He effed up the score on the semi final horribly.Fallgren needs 6 pins to win, gets eight out, then Martin gets the first two and eight, loses by a stick. Horrible. Roth/Holman, what can you say? I was a 15 year old porter at the lanes during this period. I was ripping the cover off in the men’s league by 17. Fun times, great times.

These have to be the worse commentators I’ve ever listened to on professional bowling. The constant yammering, mistaking Palmer Fallgren as Larry Laub multiple times and inability to know how the scoring of bowling works just made matters worse. On the use of this format, I like this better than alternate bowling frames (baker system) because we all can identify with doubles being bowled this way.

Rick Angle I’m surprised it was that loud considering the machines were working, usually it’s worse when at idle. Damn as the show went on the noise level elevated!
