The Interstellar OST is one of my favorite movie scores of all time. Although I‘ve been playing the main theme for years now I somehow never made a proper recording of it, so I decided it was time to finally do it. This is a rather spontaneous and improvised take, it contains some parts that are similar to Kyle Landry‘s epic arrangement but I was mainly noodling around during the recording session. Do you like it? Lemme know what you think below!

For me I think it wasn’t god who helped you, but you hoping to survive and not giving up. It is always yourself, who makes decisions in life. Some people say you can’t give up, or the disease will make you come to your death. So, from what I as an atheist can say, is, that the spirit to never stop hoping and deciding in life lies somewhere in your god. I hope you understand how I mean it. I’m happy for you to survive cancer 3 times. To heal of addictions. Everyone should stay as they are, because that’s what makes people up. I wish you good luck in your life. And if you ever get cancer again, never give up. Because that’s the thing that lets the cancer win. But let’s hope that it doesn’t even come to that!

i'm 70 and I hadn't played in 50 years until I bought a piano 2 weeks ago. Long story short, I bought this version of the sheet music yesterday (MusicNotes) and it is way out of my league BUT.... While I work through all of the scales, chords, arpeggios of building up my skills again, this will serve as my great white whale to inspire me through the difficulties. Whether I succeed or fail, I will become a much better pianist striving to achieve this. Yes, I will focus on the usual "Fur Elise", "Moonlight Sonata" and other training pieces I had already "mastered" long ago.but just taking the time to dissect "Interstellar" piece by piece as I do that will pay off. I am just mesmerized by listening to those who play this well enough to make it sparkle. It is so much more complex than I had imagined.

I've been playing piano for 13 years now and began learning this today! This is such I beautiful song and a beautiful arrangement. It's a little difficult with smaller hands but I'll manage. I'll update this comment with my progress, wish me luck! Edit: Oct 29: I don't have a ton of time to practice because of school but I Have the first 3 pages down pretty good, just need to get it a little faster. Mar. 16 been very busy and havnt been playing as much as I'd like to, but currently I'm kinda stuck in a spot where I can get through the whole song, but I struggle to keep it smooth and fast through alot of spots. I'm absolutely loving this song though, and I'm glad I chose to learn it. It's been 5 months since I started learning, and I think if I just never took breaks (I took breaks up to a week sometimes because I didn't have access to my piano) I could have this song down by now, seems like I'd come back and be where I was a month before. Also, one more thing, alot of people are commenting weather or not they should learn it, and say how long they've been playing. In my opinion, years on the piano doesn't matter a whole lot, as I know a few people with closer to 7 or 8 years that are even better to me. I think if your really passionate about piano, willing to put in the work, and are still confident in your skills after reviewing the sheet notes, you should go for it! But on the other hand, if your self taught, or only practice every once in a while, I recommend taking actual lessons, as it motivates you to actually put time in, because someone is depending on you to practice. Everyone learns at vastly different speeds so I think it's really up to guys and whether or not your confident enough in your skills to play this

Hearing this peace gives me chills. Makes me appreciate the ear I have for music. It takes me to a place where I can’t fully grasp of what’s going on but I’m okay and safe. It makes me happy to know I’m not the only one that feels this throat tightness when listening to this.
