I just watched the ‘98 and ‘99 live versions of this song, and it’s so cool to hear how this song has evolved… and Jack has gotten to be such a stronger guitar player, too. And holy shit, how do he and Kage still sound *EVEN BETTER!* vocally than they did 20 fucking years ago? Hot damn. Like a fine wine, kids.

I was there! Best part of the show. Their opener Puddles Pity Party rocked us so hard the audience had already metaphorically cum all over the place making Tenacious D the sloppy seconds. They were great, dont get me wrong, but until they played City Hall ON THE DAY ROE VS WADE WAS OVERTURNED with a huge protest literally a block from the theater…. That shit was legendary. Thank you for sharing this, so happy i can relive it now.

I was there too! JB said they hadn’t played that song in over 20 years and it’s my FAVORITE song. The Warfield was buzzing that night and Puddles Pity Party was before them and that dude is amazing too! Such a great night, one of my favorite concerts ever.
