I've been trying to get on with Walmart for over a year in FL. I've looked in Fort Pierce, Orlando and nothing. I have 5yrs experience OTR as a O.O, hauling reefer. MVR is impeccable. Clearinghouse is same as driving record, flawless. I have yet to get my hazmat but I do have my T.W.I.C. Someone I know has a cousin that works for WM in UT. And he said just apply on any open location and when they call for a interview let them know at that time what location(s) you are looking to work out of. But I was hesitant to do that bc I didn't want to feel like I was waisting anyone's time. It's just crazy hard to drive for WM in FL.

According to Walmart, you must live within 250 miles of the dc you are applying for. If you don’t mind getting your foot in the door and 1 year you can transfer to the location near you.

@@Robert_Cedillos that is correct. I live in Palm Bay, FL. So both Walmart's are definitely within range. Relocating is definitely not an easy thing nowadays. Especially with a family and for one year.

​​@@rafaelcadena44 just apply and let them know what location you want to work out of. I applied for Sacramento but they had a opening closer to me so they submitted my application there. Had the phone interview earlier this morning now waiting for the next step.

@mloml41 I appreciate the info, and most of all CONGRATULATIONS on your new career! I checked last week and I saw that one in Sac Town. I'm originally from Yuba City, born and raised. Told my wife, if we still lived there, that position would have fallen in my lap. Lol I also reached out to the recruiters department via email, they requested my information in question format, they told me they'd save my info and forward it to the three locations in Florida. I'm supposed to go to On-boarding next week I'm really not worried about the testing I've been driving for many years driving and backing is second nature to me now. I'm just don't want to waste my time.

You have nothing to worry about. Like you said, driving and backing is second nature to you. Everything else comes easier as time pass. If you like to run, I can tell you that you are not wasting.

It took me about 1 month to adjust to it. It’s not hard with the technology now in place. I’ll be making a video explaining your hours of service soon.

No. I didn’t have to go anywhere. And they pay for everything

It depends on a case by case situation. Depends what’s on it.

They typically want 30 months out of 36 months driving experience, no accidents or tickets in past 3 years.

Yes it’s paid and depends on what regen you live in. In California it’s about 1000 a week

@Low Key they usually let you know if you are or aren't qualified. Apply again even if it's to Seymour and then transfer after a year.

Stay Away from Walmart. They hate drivers. Let them figure out how to move their own Freight. O/O

That's not true. They treat drivers great as long as you go do your job and don't hit stuff
