Jeez, I drank 4 bottles of cider the other day then went cycling, and I didn't do nearly as badly as any of these folks. (Yes, very stupid and illegal, I know...) The only time I can recall having an altercation while cycling was years back (long before I had a driving license) when a silver Transit van overtook me far too close just as we were approaching a static queue, I then filtered past him and shouted "What the f**k?!", and he then overtook me once the queue started moving and shouted "What's your problem, c**t?!". My problem is he almost pushed me into a sodding hedge! I have had an altercation *about* a cyclist while driving my van, but that was because there wasn't enough space for me to overtake the cyclist safely, so when the car behind me beeped his horn a second time I slammed on my brakes, leant out the window and shouted "There's a cyclist in front of me, we've all got to wait our turn!"

WOW am I in for a treat when i visit London again. Certainly looks like a lot has changed since 2013. lol.
"Are you blind?" Nope. I just know the difference between cutting up and overtaking, something which you clearly know nothing about. :)

Oh she knows. She just doesn't care. And will continue not to until someone who cares even less makes her eat a facefull of pavement.

Why don’t cyclists use their arms to indicate anymore? That’s how I was taught in cycling proficiency. And why ignore cars indicators?

They do, but this is a compilation of cyclists cycling badly.

The explosion of numbers of cyclists in big cities like London, plus all the extra congestion that has been caused by the imposition of more cycle lanes during the pandemic means that surely it is time that cyclists should contribute to the costs of the road network via some sort of vehicle tax and carry compulsory insurance at the least for damage/injuries to third parties. It would not be difficult to fit a registration plate to any model of bike.

Cyclists contribute through general taxation just like drivers do. The cost of imposing a road tax on bikes would be more than the revenue it generated, so would actually decrease the amount available to maintain the roads. But, y'know, great idea apart from that.

Oh, and third party insurance for cyclists exists. Many cyclists already have it via membership of cycling organsiatons, where it is free with the membership. That is because the premium is so tiny (because the risks are so minuscule) that it's not actually cost effective to sell it individually. But again, apart from that, great idea also 🙄

I avoid driving if I can because I don't like it, but if myovertake causes someone to brake or swerve, I could find myself with a nice fine and points.

Maybe try cycling faster than 10kph lmao. You can't block up the path then get pissy when people who are actually riding at a decent speed try to overtake

You can if they mess with your ride. Think of bikes like cars - mine should never touch yours.

I used to ride through London in the Eighties when I used to race. Glad I don't have to mix with these tossers.

youve cut off 80 percent of these bikers and refuse to let them pass then get angry when they do lmfao
