You just taught me more about black speech than 2 years of Spanish in 5 mins.

I am here to learn it for the meme of it, because I am gonna be playing a half-orc conquest paladin. (5e Conquest paladin's oath is like it was written by SAURON, like seriously.)
@itzaleaf4053 жыл бұрын
I realized not everyone might know oath commandments, or where to find them, so here it is: *Douse the Flame of Hope.* It is not enough to merely defeat an enemy in battle. Your victory must be so overwhelming that your enemies’ will to fight is shattered forever. A blade can end a life. Fear can end an empire. *Rule with an Iron Fist.* Once you have conquered, tolerate no dissent. Your word is law. Those who obey it shall be favored. Those who defy it shall be punished as an example to all who might follow. *Strength Above All.* You shall rule until a stronger one arises. Then you must grow mightier and meet the challenge, or fall to your own ruin. If I learn enough black speech, I might put it's translation here too.

This video is fantastic! I’ve missed conjugation charts so much since starting Chinese, which doesn’t conjugate at all, and these charts are so fantastically simple, I love it! Very well explained, and very clear video, thank you! Now to learn about Black Speech pronouns... if they have any

Is there any chance you can be convinced to create a lesson on the ancient Sith language someday? (Cuz I can't find a single lesson on it. And I really would like learning those darker languages.) Sindarin has like a million other people teching them. And would you consider creating some videos that aimed to teach more vocabulary? There is alot to say for the methode in which one learns by listenings to how words are used in different ways, kinda like how a child learns to speak. And listening lessons are really important when it comes to speak any language.

Very interesting! I was thinking about the possibilities of expanding the languages taught outside of ME, but I haven’t decided on that. As for listening lessons, if another conlang channel would want to do a podcast at some point I feel that would be an appropriate and fun avenue for that!

I know the chance you'll answer this is small, but if the sentence instead was "uruk akhat azat akashuga", how would we know if it's "the orc agree to kill the hobbit" or "a orc agree to kill the hobbit"? Or do we just have to guess? I mean, in that sentence there isn't really a way to know if it's "a hobbit" or "the hobbit" either, right?

Great question! BS has no definite or indefinite articles so it is completely ambiguous and can only truly be understood given the context of what’s being said! -LME
