Most of the hosts on THE VIEW are anti-gun.
However, not too long ago, Sherri Shepard, a Host, said she bought a gun, and the rest of the gang had some things to say about it.
She demonstrated Female empowerment in its purest form, and the audience was silent.
Where is the clapping?
Where is the cheering?
We always hear from anti-gunners that we just want common-sense gun measures and say they just want responsible gun ownership.
She took her friends to a gun store, got a background check, got training, learned gun safety, all to protect her son, and the audience that laughed at her is now stone-cold silent.
All this common-sense gun control, gun safety, responsible gun owner rhetoric is BS. It's about using Gun Control to ban guns eventually.
Cognitive dissonance is a hell of a drug, let me tell you.
Upon hearing about a black women buying a gun for protection, another host dives into a monologue about how having a gun at home means you're more likely to kill yourself and your family members, but then turns around and gets mad about the fact that they didn't let DR King have a conceal carry permit.
We have guns to defend ourselves, that's life.
You may not like it, but that's the world we live in.
Evil exists; it always has there's nothing new under the sun, so you either take reality for what it is and take steps to protect yourself if that reality shows up at your front door or keep thinking you virtue signal your way to a new reality.
The latter will get you killed, and the former will give you a fighting chance.

I shed a tear of joy when not only was she being pro-active, but she said she was even going to the range to practice every other week. Honestly, I don't personally know a lot of people that can visit the range even that often - and it makes me happy to know she's not just buying the gun to "feel empowered" but learning to use it to. Few things scarier than someone with a gun that doesn't know how to use it, but feel empowered by holding it.

You'd be hard-pressed to find one of Colion's subscribers who doesn't think she should have a firearm to defend herself and her family. The point being made is the blatant hypocrisy of the same women constantly screeching about female empowerment, admonishing their co-worker for empowering herself. Nobody wants irresponsible gun owners, but understand that those of us who grew up with firearms have had more training by the time we turn 18, so requiring expensive training classes to learn what we've had memorized since we were 8, is absolutely unnecessary and punitive for those on a budget. Any new shooter could go to a range and simply tell the other shooters that this is their first time, they'd have offers from most there to show them gun safety and basic training. I know I'd love the opportunity to help a new shooter learn a fun and essential skill. Besides, requiring training to exercise a Right is an attempt to turn that Right into a privilege.

Should do? Legal purchase WITH background check? Not all states require this and if they don't I would recommend not going this route. Here in Indiana and many other states you can buy and sell guns privately from person to person. Why get the government involved, especially now with the FFLs having to literally keep a permanent database on file for the feds? That only leads to one ending. I recommend all of the above except that you *need* to buy a firearm from a shop. IF it's the only legal way then of course. But in free(r) states like IN, nah. Find a good forum for your state and buy off another responsible individual. No need to involve the government.

While laws are generally written with the thoughts of victims in mind, if it's against the law, it's illegal, regardless of there being a victim or not. So no "no victim, no crime," is not a viable excuse for anything. And yes, it is possible to illegally own a firearm. I point you towards the Federal, and State level, laws that abound for firearms.

I grew up with guns in the house and my parents were very strict about gun safety. My father was a deer hunter. Guns stored properly just sit in their case. No accidents because everyone followed the rules. We were taught never to touch a gun without the safety of a parent or recognized trainer in gun safety.

I grew up with plenty of guns and now as an adult, I currently have 3 myself. 2 hunting rifles and a 9mm Glock for EDC. There had never been an incident in my family because me and my sister were taught gun safety, and knew that guns weren't something to play with. I even got my first rifle at 12 (wasn't allowed ammo of course) and I trained extensively with my father on both that rifle and also his glock he carried for work.

I like the way that talk show hosts are such experts on all things!! I'm in Australia, and I have owned firearms since before I went to school. That was a long time ago, and such freedom with firearms is not available these days. However, about talk show hosts. We have a nationally televised talk show. I used to watch it with a certain amount of skepticism, because of the 'know-all' attitude of most of the hosts. They discussed firearm possession, and one of the hosts presented his "personal opinion" as "definite facts" He was off-beam, didn't have a clue about his topic. I have not watched that show since.

The federal government infringes on our 2A only because we let them. We allow are rights every time a patriot stays home on Election Day, also when we vote for Democrats. When Joe Biden was a candidate for president he said he believed in the 2A, then he stated he wanted to stop the sell of certain simi automatic rifles. Then made it plain the only firearm he believes the people should have was a 3 shot shotgun. (How. I a young women 5’ tall and weighs 115 lbs gonna defend her home, herself and loved ones). The 2A Biden believes in would read like this “. . . some people’s right to keep some arms and at the government’s discretion be able to carry those approved arms . . . “. Biden ignores the part stating, “ . . . shall ( a demand and not a request) not be infringed.” Yet despite making it clear he did not agree with the 2A in the Bill of Rights. Biden came right out and said it. Yet he received a majority of the votes counted. Someone told me elections were not fair. Again get out and vote for the most conservative candidates. Then the Democrats running the polls will be voted out along with the progressive, socialist, Marxist congress members. So shoot straight, be safe and God bless.
