Here is a link to our facebook page and a pot that is a different shape, but using the same leaf type. It is also stained and sealed.facebook.com/uniquegardenartvernon/photos/a.187204218014643.45214.111901588878240/1330518830349837/?type=3&theater Thanks to you all for your continued interest, link is in the description for FB page ,there are more examples to view there.

I love this!! This inside out version of the leaf bowl is actually perfect for a bird bath and fountain because it make for an easier clean up. It’s most important to keep the water clean for critters and you should wash and scrub it regularly. I also like the design element of the organic pattern on the outside, smooth inside.

Hi, I made a comment on your part 2 of this bowl. Then in the 1st, I heard you say you sprayed a vegetable spray but only on the bottom. If you use it on the leaves, as well, like I mentioned, your leaves will just pop right off. Thank you for sharing. It is an awesome job. They are beautiful😉

What is that vibrating table? Never heard of that before. Also, I think you should add leaves to the interior before adding that plastic bowl. Great video. You also have amazing calves! Do you bicycle to get those?
@mrconcreteartisan6 жыл бұрын
Vibrating tables are used the get the air out of the concrete.If you search KZbin you will find videos on how to make inexpensive homemade versions.I have done the leaves inside as well, But most folks use them for planting in ,so the dirt just covers the leaf imprints anyway. Lol, thanks for noticing the calves ,I have been a power lifter for many years.Here's a little vid for you kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYisnohteKiIbsk

Doesn't that make the leaf decoration on the bottom?
@mrconcreteartisan5 жыл бұрын
Yes , on the outside of the bowl as well as the bottom.You can pull the leaf up higher so as not to get as much leaf print on direct bottom.
@laurabenevelli67835 жыл бұрын
@@mrconcreteartisan It would be nice to have the leaf design on both sides of the bowl though.

@@laurabenevelli6783 Oh , you meant the inside .Yes ,I have done some with the imprint on the inside as well .Most folks buying them use them as planters , the imprints are covered with dirt.I do make smaller decorative bowls with the imprint inside.
@laurabenevelli67835 жыл бұрын
I've seen them used as bird baths. When they are made shallower it looks really pretty but so many people put it either only on the outside or inside. It would look nice on both (for a bird bath).

if you laid saran wrap over the edge and THEN use a plastic trowel over the saran wrap to smooth out the top edge when it dries you then take it off and it'll look like shiny marble,...
@mrconcreteartisan7 жыл бұрын
Yes, you certainly could.I do half of mine with a wet polished top and the others I leave the rustic look,it captures the effect of the textural aspect of the bowl.But to each their own ,creativity is a beautiful thing :)

Where can I get cabbage leaves like the ones shown in the video? 😁😁😆😁😁
Hi all, I have just made my first leaf birdbath and am wondering what to use to fill in the cement pinholes and prime the structure to make it smoother for painting. Seems like the generic cement primers at Home Depot are too thin. Anyone have any suggestions. Thanks,
@mrconcreteartisan4 жыл бұрын
To fill pin holes you can mix 50% Portland with 50% white Portland add water to make a slurry .Use a small artist trowel to fill the holes. Not 100% sure what you mean by priming and smoothing the concrete ,can you give me another description of what you want to achieve?
