Thank you, Michael!!! My son is 10 years old and wanted to print his own shirts and he is a wonderful streetware artist! I was missing a few things like the powder and appropriate temp. Thank you for helping make his dream come true!!!!

That was amazing. I just watched a tutorial using DTF printer and film and the DTF printer was so expensive. I know you couldn't print on dark material but to be able to print on cotton alone is a big plus. Thank you for taking all the guessing out of this process for us. You save us so much time and money. You're the best!

Yes!! My husband spent over $2800 buying me a "cheap" DTF printer 2 yrs ago and I haven't even done a test print to this day. Thisnis so much cheaper. I hope he can come upnwith a way to do dark shirts too

Only problem with the dark color Clothing is the lack of the white over ink. If they made a white dtf power that stayed white it would work.
@HVACRTECH-832 жыл бұрын
@@sinsofvorador I believe you just need one of the eco tank printers that have the two black tanks and you put white dtf ink in one of the black spots. Havnt tried myself but seen a video on it and makes sense. I believe there's just a change you need to make in your software for the color profile. But then again,what's the toll your ecotank will pay to run those unsupported inks?
@lovebirdslane55452 жыл бұрын
Warm peel works best in our testing, some printers have sensors and will not print on overhead sheets because they cannot not detect a surface to print on. You can use a temp spray and place a piece of white paper behind the transparent sheet to get the printer to print. Embossing powder works with an inkjet printer, use whatever color embossing powder you would like. Make sure to apply the powder before the ink dries. Transparencies can attract powder particles and brushing may not remove all of the loose powder when using embossing powder. Tested at 320 degrees for 90 seconds also worked great. If using Sub ink, white embossing powder works, however the print will not be as clear nor as bright as using DTF powder. Happy Crafting!

Had the same problem. You have to take a piece of regular printer paper and tape it to the BACK of the transfer paper. I had to move the regular printer paper down about 2 inches, and place a piece of tape on the end of the transfer paper and regular paper so the printer will feed the regular paper in first triggering the printer mechanism and then it feeds and prints. You can use ANY transfer paper.

Michael, I’ve been thinking about how to use Crystal’s (Design Bundles) version of this hack but get a white background along with it without using DTV for colored cotton. How about using white sublimation paint? Make a stencil outline of the image you want on the cotton, put it on a piece of DTF film (same one you would stick in the printer) and paint on the white sublimation paint, put the powder on it, remove the stencil, place it on the shirt and heat press like you normally would and then warm peel it off. Now you have a white sublimated background on cotton. Then do Crystal’s regular sublimation DTF hack for getting the image on the shirt. I’m not sure if it would work since now you are layering the sublimation ink on top of the white sublimation ink instead of straight to the shirt but I thought it would be worth a try. I posted a similar comment on Crystal’s video but I’m not sure she’ll read it so I thought I’d bring it up to you.

Omg! This is a complete game changer. So here's my tricky question. Would this process also work on regular tumblers in a tumbler press that are not made for sublimation? Maybe do a cool peel rather than a warm peel? Also, I do a lot of shirts for larger people so is there a brand of film that you would recommend for 13x19? I very rarely use 8.5x11. Thank you so much, this video totally made my day!!!

So I have been working with this process and my best results were with forever laser dark multi A paper pressing for about 20-25 sec and lower temp at 320 degrees. My new problem is I'm getting little colored spots from reusing the powder. if the powder soaks up the ink and falls back with leftover powder it will leave spots on the next print. took me several prints to figure out where the spots were coming from. I also did cold peel and the film came right off.
