I worked as a armed security officer and often as a Louisiana State Special Officer which is a licensed armed security officer in Louisiana that is also a certified peace officer in New Orleans Parish with the same power as a State Trooper but only while working and I guarded some of the scariest haunted places in New Orleans including grocery stores but the scariest was during and after Hurricane Katrina. We and the National Guard units we were paired with encountered multiple supernatural and paranormal events and entities. I really should write a book on everything that happened.

Depends on their contract or employer. The contract I'm under now allows for some extra allowances during the longer night shifts. Other posts are more strict, with one location basically wanting a uniformed security guard just for appreances.

Yes same I used to think to myself oh not another rules video but you know the one he did about uhh the guard that had to do his rounds and it was like room based where he was talking to a piece of paper on the front desk and was helping him and one of the encounters was a dragon at the end where hot sauce was used to distract well that's the one that changed my views on rule videos... I think he was curse not because of what you expect, I think the rules is missing something like.. before ending shift let the first costumer in before leaving the store... That's kinda the point my guy... Iirc, mr.creeps did a video once where a guy was hired by a lady (who turns out to be a demon) to write rules for various peoples and places. The guy wasn't really into it until he was forced to live through one and then he started taking them seriously. Basically, he has to make rules that are creepy, scary, random, and truly test peoples commitment while also giving them a legit chance at success. Otherwise he has to live through it again. My personal head cannon is that all these rules stories are the direct result of his and his coworkers made up rules as he tries to appease his demonic bosses. Makes the derivative drivel a little bit easier to swallow lol. Besides, it's a creepy pasta, what did you expect? A Steven King level of horror?
