Why didn't they call for more back up or radio the chief/captain. Report the matter, wait till back up arrived. And then, jst go to the damn spot the crying was coming from. Inorder to find the source that's making the cries. so that the mystery of a case is solved once and for all, or atleast find an imp clue on the search. You know, if it did seem like a bait, then bait the bait!

Is it weird that I'm considering becoming a Search and Rescue officer after hearing these? It's probably a weird way to get introduced to S&R as a career, but it seems like a good pick for me. My main goal is to be a Police Officer, but it seems like a good job after I retire. I assume it's a lot calmer compared to police work, but not too calm. I can still help people and my community, which is the biggest reason I want to be a cop. and I bet a lot of the skills I'll learn in law enforcement will transfer over to S&R.

That last story sounded like something from the Interface series by Mother Horse Eyes. There are invisible portal type things and the parts of people who go through them just disappear. This is the kind of stuff that chills me to the core. I already don't like the forests, don't really need any more reasons to avoid them. Another thing that gets me is unidentified monsters that could or could not be out there. No name for them, no known motivation, they're just there being scary and possibly eating people. Heard a story on a podcast that was taken from a confiscated letter from a soldier during ww1. There was this huge amorphous creature that descended on a german trench in France. It tore the limbs and heads off then ate the torso. Flares were shot to try and see what was going on but the thing had no discernable features. It continued to eat it's way through the trench until it was satisfied then disappeared into the night. There was a historical precedent for it too. In a museum not far from where those trenches were there's an old wood block print of a monster grabbing and devouring villagers. That's why the town was abandoned so long. The letter in which it was described was taken to british intelligence and put under lock and key for 100 years. They didn't want people sending crazy stories home.

bleachsanchoblastk Fuck. That gave me chills. Think it’s still out there killing/eating people?

I imagine the last story with the woman before 39:20 is what happens to most people who disappear except they somehow have someone with them. Like the fuzzyman or the bearman. They just see something and go off for a second. See something that catches their eye and they vanish. Usually it would probably be someone so naive and new to the world around them. Since most of those complete disappearences are kids. Like a rookie in the forest alone for a second. A kid with their parents who look away for one moment. They just forget everything and anything, they see one person or thing and just follow them because its all they know how to do. Overwhelmed with a feeling of safety because its always a man. As if a parent. And follow it. They disappear and what they feel is just a day or a few hours is months and years apart. And why their bodies never change is because since their mind believes they've only been gone for a while and they feel nothing else other than what may be, saftey of a familiar figure. Or the pain of hunger. Their brain just processess it so much faster. Because they only know one feeling at that very moment. And nothing else until they finally see a real human being.

I love this story for so many reasons The best part to me was just; "I ask in the radio if anyone else just heard the end of the fucking world-" I don't know but it made me laugh And my G O D he has the absolute perfect voice for these types of stories!

My step dad came into the kitchen when I was doing the dishes and listening to this. He entered around the 12:00 mark to 15:00. A very awkward thing to be caught listening to, it being listings of bodies found in gruesome ways and all.

The one with the crying girl on loop remind me of a wendigo. Who knows really, it could also be some freak serial killer

Nah, the one where the lady gets lost is a wendigo. The voice telling her to eat. That's wendigo possession.

This story mentions a goatman a couple times, and I keep wondering if they mean the same one from Anansi's Goatman Story.

Lucas Okemahwasin Dear mrs Lucas' mom. I have listened to creepypastas and read scary stories all my life and I have never wanted to murder, harm or even poke someone because of it. It's all about the goosebumps, that's all.
