SAVING these ELDERS from a CITY VIOLATION TICKET they have LITTLE to NO INCOME

So these elders tried to avoid calling me because I had already cut this lawns once for FREE. But I told them Its not a problem. I will take care of their lawns. They have a fix income and have very little money, so they cant afford to pay anyone to mow this overgrown lawn. So I ended up saving them from a city violation ticket. They gave them 10 days to take care of their lawn but i was there the very weekend they had the notice. They offered to pay me but I turned it down since they need it more than me right now.

I never understand why people don’t help out their elderly neighbors. My dad always helped his neighbors. I think he mowed the neighbors yard for about 15 years, until the gentleman passed at 95. Thank you for being so kind to this woman. You did a great job.

That's why people don't help. It then becomes their job forever! Plus not everyone has the equipment, time or money to help. They would be better off downsizing to an adult community where that is taken care of.

@@tenstreet-007 my dad helped because he wanted to. He mowed the neighbors yard when he mowed his own. I don’t see it as being a burden. And why should someone be forced to leave a home they love? My dad gave that man a little bit of his time, I don’t see that as a bad thing.

I tried to weedeat my neighbors flowerbed and sidewalk and driveway (she mows "occastonally") but she thanked me and said she or her daughter would get it done in a couple of days. They don't have a weedeater and it's still not done. I tried.

I am self-sufficient at the age of 72 with 4 acres to mow & landscape. I have always done it & feel it so relaxing. In my younger years I pushed mowed with an eighteen inch mower. We all wish we could help everyone. You Sir are doing it. Great job

Hi Mr. Cris. When we clean up the outside sphere of life, a room, a house, a yard, that which is outside of ourselves, it gives us a sense of accomplishment and encouragement. Once the outside is cleaned, the inside begins to take care of itself. If we clean our surroundings, we are freed up to concentrate on the bigger things, like ourselves. Well Done Once Again. Well, that yard is a near heart-break, can't keep up. Thank you for helping there but also that you checked back on them. Like that you thought to trim the front shrub, that is another step forward. In the back, I noted they had downed limbs. Since this is a second time that they couldn't cope, it probably needs to go on the to-do list, to at least cut it/them up and stack it, so it does not remain as an obstacle and could even become needed heat or cooking fuel, for them or to help others. Several big things, you gave them the use of their yard again, the neighborhood standard was repaired and the sidewalk again accessible for foot traffic. Nice, neat work. You made sure they knew they were not "forgotten".

Well, now their front yard looks better than the neighbors! Thank you, MrCris! Great job. My husband and I have had a forty foot tree fall in our back yard from all the heavy rain, and no one will help us cut it up. We’ve been working on it for days now. I’m sure we’ll still be working on it for another 3-4 weeks easily. We don’t have the money for a professional tree removal service and insurance won’t cover it since no property damage occurred. We are seniors living on our SS. My husband is 75 I’m 69. And no, neighbors don’t want to help.
