It's more quartz and hemotite on the mennock side. Apparently the black sand is on the wanlockside

Yeah it looked very quartzy. I found some heavy plum coloured stones in the pan too.

Looks nice yellow gold. You could do with a real-time-clock on your videos so we can get an idea of the time it takes to do the panning session. Another little challenge for you!

I could John But I tend to just try to edit the clips to keep it interesting for the viewer. There are so many videos out there showing you how to do it . You should join us with your detector some time.

Yes, I've been wondering how well my pinpointer would work in the crevices. I will have to experiment using small pieces of lead to find the smallest fragment it can detect. I'm got a week off in a couple of weeks and am going down to Llyn van-camping. Recommendations for campsites would be appreciated :)

We need a catch up John then. Yeh the pin pointers are excellent for crevicing. I could do to put you in contact with my mate off the campsite who detects every day.

U did rather well there . Aye that river gets a good seeing too every year . I'm off to Wales on Saturday for a week An then that will probably be my last trip for the season 😭

Yep I am going to make as much footage as I can I'm hoping to do some sluicing An sniping. Also some dry crevice work as iv never done that much .

I was going to stay over night but twinged my back so decided to go home instead. Luck was on my side and my back is ok. Yeah it turned out to be an alright sesh. Lots of panners around.
