My neighbors dogs have seen me always In the yard and still bark for nothing! Yet I have birds almost eating out of my hands. Lol. I have a magpie that comes every day to see me. If I don't pay attention? He squawks at me until I look at him and when I talk he literally looks me up and down. When I now the lawn he follows me around. Cute little guy.😂. But the neighbors dog has woken us up so many times it's not funny. The neighbors on the other side even argued with the owner. Yet nothing! I've had dogs all my life. If you train them properly? Its not irrational. My own dog was biting me. It was given to me as a gift when i was a kid. I didnt know how to train him properly due to my age and he turned out to be acting as an alpha. Dogs have their own psychology, they are not humans but people do treat them like humans,their fur babies. I babied my dog so it turned against me.

That's great. Some dogs, no matter how long you have been feeding them treats every week, just still don't like us. Got bit one time, knocked on door and mother put dog away. 3 min later, 6 year old opened back door for the dog not knowing I was there... the dog came after me and we both ended up in the pool. Fortunately I was the better swimmer. He did get 3 bites out of me. unfortunately, he was put down and I did not go after homeowners as I felt they lost enough. As annoying as some dogs can be, they are still family to people. If I had one then it coulda been a completely different outcome.

That is a tough story for sure. Sadly it happens all the time. I had a huge Doberman Pinscher on my route for a few years and he was very friendly with me. I stilled carried this device just in case. When they moved recently the dog had a short circuit in the brain. I heard he lost it and literally took a ladies face off. Had to be put down. You never know. 😯

Does this really work do you have to aim it at the dog because I want to use it in a way the owner cannot tell . I live in a SRO and three people have decided to have pitbulls living in this building. The problem and scary part is that these rooms are so small!! One of them is bold and seems dangerous compared to the other two I’m very scared for my life as I don’t think it’s healthy for pitbulls or any large dog to live in such a microtiny room! You can use it in your pocket. I do on certain accounts. Just aim it slightly through your pocket. Works well up to about 20 ft. I've seen smaller devices on amazon also that do the same thing.

It works from inside your jacket or pant pocket. No need to take it out ant point it. The sound will travel through your clothes just fine. I do it when I don't want the customer to know I am using it. The device is harmless to the dog but I know some clients may be bothered by me using it on their pets. In your case I would just carry it all all times in my pocket in case one of these dogs actually tries to come at you. I wouldn't use it until then.

It is pretty effective. Haven't had a failure yet. Some dogs dislike it more than others. I think it depends on how good the dogs hearing is. The older the dog the least effective it seems.
