I just found your channel through your video returning home. So I started watching your earlier videos. They're very entertaining. If you'd taken the route on your web page you would have passes through my city, about half a mile from my house, but judging from the sand drifts at 4:20 I suspect that you took a route a bit farther north. That seems like part of National Park Loonse- en Drunense Duinen.

It's interesting when the German fellow at 10:30 renders the Spanish "tierra del fuego" into English as "fireland." Which is, of course, what that means, but in English (at least here in the US), we leave that place name as "tierra del fuego." Makes me wonder what they call it in German. Is it "Land des Feuers?"
@tonixxl5 жыл бұрын
We say "Feuerland". Your version ("Land des Feuers") would be grammatically correct though, well done! :-)

Oh good lord, the guy at 10:00 is THE stereotype of people speaking English in the most German way. XD You can properly understand him, but he sounds so German, that it almost hurts......................................................................... And that is said by a German guy, myself. Oh, and funny. He came across the exact same path I was riding in 2020, going 400 miles from Dusseldorf to Frankfurt and back. Still looks very much the same. Following the Rhyne river for avoiding inclines was certainly a good idea. I was traveling this route on a recumbent tricycle with attached trailer, so my usual traveling speed was below 10mph......... I have moved close to Munich now. If I ever had the chance to give a roof to somebody on such a sick adventure, I'd be very happy to do so. And also go with him 20 miles further on his trip.
