Project - 1
In this video i will be using a ferrite core from an old flyback transformer for making an induction heating plate that is for metal melting. The video contains the circuit diagram and important note at the end. It is a 12 volt high current induction heater that is very useful for desoldering electronic components.
Project - 2
Today in this video I am going to convert an Induction Motor to a 220v to 12v step down transformer using which I want to make a power supply that's going to convert 220 volts AC to 12 volts DC for running my 12 volt LED light, incandescent bulbs, DC Motors and even charge my 12 volts ups battery.
The induction motor that I have used here is a shading ring induction motor that I found in a hot air blower.
Project - 3
In this video i will be making a 220V AC to 3.7V DC Converter for Charging 18650 Lithium ion Battery using old discarded mobile chargers.

Been gathering used components since I was 10 years old in 1985 to make other circuits out of junk. So good to come by this channel and see re-use of components like this. Its amazing what you can make out of free used healthy parts. Keep up the good work. Self taught electronics hands on with used parts and radio shack books USPS Electronics Technician ;) Even at 47 years old, still gathering good parts out of discarded electronics to make other things out of. Amazing that the plate doesnt passively heatsink too much to make a solder pan to harvest parts from. Tempted to make one of these vs manually desoldering components to gather and reuse them.

You should use the other part of the motor to close the magnetic circuit , and provably taking out the cooper poles (thick cooper wires ) it will work better with less heat. The core is made out electrical steel for low hysteresis and laminated to reduce Eddy current

the reason you need the air gap is because when it reaches a certain temp, it is drawing too much current for the transistors to handle, it is already basically a short circuit

Soldering Li-Ion batteries is very dangerous. May cause fire or explosion. Charging also requires special chargers with appropriate voltage and protection. Short-circuiting a charged battery will also result in ignition and/or explosion.

One's solder tray might be made substantially smaller, say 1cm×1cm or 2cm×2cm, and maybe 2 or 3 mm thick. Smaller will get it upto temperature quicker instead of wicking and radiating most of it away. A thermal switch may be used to turn it off and on to save energy. Being 2mm thick provides a reservoir of heat. Personally I'd prefer a resistive heater for for this application. Cheaper components and simpler circuit.

The ferrite is a waste of time. Heat the steel plate directly with a flat/pancake coil. Use proper pulse rated capacitors for the tank circuit. Use the variaant that drives twin inductors from the supply to a single, non-center tapped work coil. All HF wiring should be made as CAPACITIVE as possible. Flat ribbon wires clamped to a thin insulator. From FET to coil. The circuit should be laid out with this in mind. Fets back to back, etc. Short direct wiring. The only INDUCTANCE should be the coil itself. Otherwise you are leaking power everywhere. Wasting power. Zvs is still a horrible, troublesome circuit.

Wouldn't it be far safer to install an 18650 battery holder in the meter over directly soldering in an 18650? The meter itself has no charging protection for Li-ion and it seems like an accident waiting to happen for a random DC charger to be plugged into it by someone unaware of the mod. Installing an 18650 holder would also allow the swapping out of the 18650 when dead, versus waiting for the meter itself to charge when dead, and a larger 18650 holder could be installed onto the top of the charger itself for charging multiple 18650s

Hi, we also can add: 1- No, it's not safe to charge lithium batteries this way ! 2- You don't connect unbalanced cells in parallel ! 3- You can buy proper Li-Ion cell charger modules from Chinese stores for less than a dollar ! So, like "Diode gone wild" would say : super dodgy 😂
