So thankful to finally see an honest review. I don't understand the hate for MSC. I've sailed with them a number of times, including a fabulous 25 nt transatlantic cruise last summer and I have another one booked next April. The ships are gorgeous, the ships are meticulously clean at all times, service was swift and friendly across the board and the food was on par with all of the mainstream lines. AND, the value is undeniable! I think all the moaners and whiners must be Royal snobs.

I took MSC out of NYC for Thanksgiving, we had the best time ever. We are going again this year 2024, leaving from Miami for Nanas 90th birthday🥳🎉. We all had a good time from age 5 to age 89. Try it for yourself😍🤗have fun❣️

Just sailed MSC Seashore and can report room was not clean. Carpet stains looked like poop. They attempted to clean but not successful. Seems like they don’t have a carpet cleaner for spot cleaning. Was gross. Also people not abiding by smoking sections, vaping and smoking all over. So disrespectful!

@ The food was fantastic. The signage and information was almost nonexistent. Many passengers were very rude and slim pickings on activities that were not centered around assorted onboard purchases. Also not very ADA compliant. Had a heck of a time with my walker getting around on this ship. People were having a lot of fun so due to my advanced age and limited mobility, I will say that MSC is not for me.

We went on our first cruise on the MS Magnifica and bumped up to Aurea experience in September. We stayed in the general areas and had a great time. Family members went also and they're big cruisers and said it was one of the best they've been on. We are going on the Seascape in March and bumped up to the Yacht Club because we got a good price. We plan on trying Holland America in October just so we can say we've tried another cruise franchise, but think we've found our home with MSC. Great review and glad you pointed out that it's not anywhere as horrible as the negative reviews made it out to be.

All the haters are setting themselves for disappointment. if they really want to notch up their experience then shell out more cash. For the prize, I think MSC is doing a bang up job. Just came back from our sailing on 6/22/24. Agree with all you've said. MSC is now one of our favorites. They have updated selections on their drink package though. Totally bummed that they do not have the Frozen Toblerone anymore.

Super great video. I love your honest opinion. We love MSC and we have been on MSC world Europa, MSC Euribia, and MSC Meriviglia. I think people are spoiled and they go on a cruise with this high expectation instead of enjoying the cruise for what it is. They expect too much and also too much entitlement. We are looking at booking the MSC seascape for Christmas and we are glad that we came across your video. You are absolutely right about Royal Caribbean. Their pricing is out of control

Excellent video ! Spot on! I just want to add something small. Seems like a lot of people do not notice the brand new port that MSC is building in Miami . I’m sure it’s going to look amazing just like their ships. Check in might be even easier after its completion !

Staff on MSC Seascape are constantly cleaning and sanitizing public spaces. Food is good and plentiful. Nice room. Lots of places to get away from the crowd and enjoy peace and quiet. This was my experience earlier this year and I recommend this ship.

Thanks for your review. I realise it’s based on your experience. It would be helpful if you included video because several of the negative reviews show actual footage of the poor quality food and the horrendous overcrowding. And MSC itself say that their practise is to sell cheap, pack the ships full and up sell everything. So it’s surprising you didn’t experience crowds and found sun beds easily. I guess it depends what time you travel. There’s videos of long queues at the bars and the buffet and of very crowded restaurants. I appreciate you taking the time to make this video but it is so contrary to the majority of other reviews that it would have been useful to see evidence. I’ve just cancelled my MSC trip as overcrowding and queues aren’t for me.

Every ship and every popular cruise line has crowds. It’s the reality of cruising. If you know when to visit the buffet or which bars aren’t as busy (and this can take some practice!) - then you can avoid crowds. We have taken MANY cruises on many different cruise lines and this was not any more crowded than Royal, Carnival, Disney, Princess or Holland America. We did other coverage videos on the MSC that shows the crowds but we try to respect other passengers privacy UNLIKE other people and their videos. Plus, don’t underestimate other KZbinrs and their love of drama and ambulance chasing. They see one popular video of two guys stirring and causing drama and they jump on the bandwagon desperate for views.

I appreciate it this review it gives some balance to all the negative reviews that have kept my family from booking a cruise with MSC. My husband and I are going to take the plunge and do a Caribbean cruise next spring.

We were on Seaside early on and were not very happy overall with the experience. Wasn't terrible, but we were not really going to cruise them again. We loved NCL and stayed with them, however with NCL recent decline we have revisited MSC again and this time went yacht club. It was nice, but to us, not worth the expense. Overall on this cruise we spent a bunch of time outside of yacht club and overall had a decent experience. We found MSC had corrected a lot of what we disliked about our first MSC experience. However their staff seems to be more from Eastern Block countries and they have more of a European approach to service. So we found them overall to not be as out going or quite as motivated to provide service. What also stood out is we normally tip well when first dealing with bar staff etc. Because we want that continued good service and tend to frequent the same venues often. But with our recent MSC cruise tipping did not seem to influence the level of service at all. So about the 4th day we stopped. Tips are included in the drink package but we find on other ships tipping extra can go a long way, and when we get great service we are happy to go above and beyond. We are sailing again on MSC in March but not in yacht club and on a different ship, so will see if the experience is the same or not as above. We recently tried shorter cruises on Carnival and Celebrity on a back to back and man what a difference. We started on Carnival long time ago and had great cruises, after about 5 we switched to NCL and sailed a ton with them and were happy until post covid. Tried RCL 1x and it's not our thing, those ships are too big and too many people for our style. But Carnival - never again, wow. Celebrity we did like, and would try them again. But if you are on the fence with MSC I would say give them a shot. Ships are beautiful, but the rest will probably be a mixed experience but that is really the experience on most lines now.

Excellent video. We have been on 5 different MSC ships in and out of Yacht Club and found that they are comparable to the other mainstream cruise lines. I like many of the differences they have from Royal and Carnival. Look forward to more of your cruise videos.

I agree with you. I have taken 5 MSC cruises, my only bad experience was the on the Divina. I think it was just because the ship was older than I expected, I think my expectations were too high. I have been on the newer ships and had a great time. Thanks for your honest review.

Great review! IMO the criticisms of MSC can be made for any of the "major" lines. Many people seem to go into this preloaded having read negative reviews and expecting the same. Or they have an unrealistic sense of entitlement not tempered by the value proposition offered by MSC relative to other cruise lines. MSC offers a great product at an incredible value.

They can't be compared with Carnival food. I heard they sell cheaply, and they expect people to spend at special dining as the food suck in the buffet area. 4 special dining areas, more than any other cruise liner

I found most of the complaints about MSC are pretty trivial. That said, I keep booking them every few months and I’m satisfied with the ships, the service, the food, and the entertainment. And, when cruising in the Caribbean, they have the best private island at Marine Reserve of all the private islands I’ve visited. I wish they had more included dining options though (I’m thinking Guy’s Burgers on Carnival or Slices on Princess).

Great feedback on your experience. Unfortunately myself and my dad got food poisoning Day four/seven on MSC Virtuosa main dining room. I just like my food hot not lukewarm. Main dining room was very hectic, Luke warm food and dry chicken. I do agree the pizza is good 🙏 Oh i hope MSC buffets are not like other cruises , I'm on a cruise in November with Princess and I purposely chose Princess because of there positive reviews on food. Our cabin steward was amazing, very sparkly clean ship ⚓

I don't like 😞 lukewarm food and dried chicken either. I like hot food to be hot! I like chicken 🐔 with sauce unless when the chicken 🐔 is Fried Chicken 🍗 (American style). I heard that the bad layout of the buffet area incites bad behaviors such as line cutting, food grabbing over someone else's shoulders, elbow nudging, etc. Also, because MSC doesn't give us more than one option for lunch (you have to eat at the buffet area, or you don't eat at all, because there is no other area to eat except the buffet!), for 5,900 guests!😮😢

We have liked our MSC cruises except a repositioning cruise from Rome to Florida. Will not take MSC in Europe. It's entirely different culture. MSC Caribbean cruises are wonderful and great pricing.

MSC is absolutely Horrible!!! I'm also an experienced cruiser. Yes, pizza is descent but when you have to eat it all week, no!! Can't get a drink, lines EVERYWHERE!! Not enough staff. Buffett was terrible, no other options, MDR or Buffett or specialty, that's it!! The bell on the table is laughable, I hit that thing so many times, nothing!! I gave MSC 3 shots on 3 different ships. Yep, bartenders not friendly, room was dirty, not the ship itself, the room!! Windows had fingerprints all of it, cooler wasn't cleaned out and was dirty. You had a one in a million experience apparently. So many people can't be wrong and you 2 are right 🤣 I seriously hate to bash any cruise line, but MSC has a long way to go, I would advise not wasting your money unless you're going to spring for the Yacht club experience, then you should be okay.

I agree with everything you said. Nobody came when you hit that button at your table, your room was dirty, bartender was unfriendly, etc.: it was due to greediness of the MSC upper management: They follow exactly the money-making 💰 tactics of the book "Pile It High, Sell It Cheap": Crowding people up really tightly onto one ship (5,900 guests), charging people at a (seemingly) cheap rate, and hiring a total of only 1,500 service employees! MSC, you will really need to step your game up!

I disagree regarding boarding and disembarking.....Getting on the ship was very long ,we were standing in tge long line in heat and full sun for couple hours. Getting off the ship true nightmare!!! We were Getting off around 8.30am, blocked elevators lines for couple hours, squeezed like sardines in a huge crowd... You guys left at 7 am, l guess that made a difference, we didn't know any better...

Just returned from MSC Seascape Dec 21-28 2024. Absolutely horrible from food to entertainment. The buffet was beyond gross. Cold poor quality and down right disgusting. Speciality restaurants not good . Ocean Cay served cold dried out fish. No shrimp no scallops no lobster. Paid extra for package yet once you get there you pay additional if you want something off the "special"menu ??? I paid for the special initially and didn't think I'd pay more once there! Enough said about the 1 star food. Many days only lunch option was buffet! Crammed with 5000 plus guests with no option to eat elsewhere. The entertainers were good but the venue was same every single night! Singing and dancing only ! No comedy. No magician, no nothing . Sing dance only. If you drink many bars available. Nothing to do on this ship . Minimal activities .Go elsewhere. This was my third MSC with two previous were great . This is my LAST MSC. So disappointed . As for our room horrific . Worn out and the jacuzzi repeatedly sputtered black rubber. After multiple attempts to repair we gave up and didn't use. Had this been my first cruise it would have been my last

We been sailing with MSC and we’ve done six different ships 🛳️ and they all have their good and great and definitely small flaws but everything is so good that it is our favorite specially because we can afford more vacations with them and not kill the bank so definitely 💯 to MAC and look up the MSC Foundation it is amazing and all the good things they are doing globally for our people from so many different countries ❤ we love 💕 MSC
