Yeah I could not believe Baby Daddy got canceled and Young Hungry didn't. Baby Daddy did better ratings so it did not make sense to me.

I totally agree they recycle the same story lines in young and hungry, it is always a will they won't they for Gabbie and Josh. Yet baby daddy on the other hand was amazing it was always creative and interesting. Also I feel like too much stuff was put in to the season they rushed Riley's pregnancy and their wedding, they could have done something more with Danny being over protective if they had more time. The wedding was sort of glossed over. If only they had more time. Not only that but after an entire season worth of build up for Elle and Ben as well as Riley and Danny's baby has been wasted. We don't get any pay off. There is no point in having Ben chase this girl or Riley be pregnant if there is no real story which the out come creates. I feel as though if they had another season/ a longer season it would feel more worth while as all of these plots could have expanded amounting to something great yet due to lack of time will never get their full potential or even finish the ark. Baby daddy deserved another season. The cast was great, they had plots to finish and still had potential. Where as - while I enjoy - Young and hungry, it has become highly repetitive and stale. It just makes no sense Baby daddy had higher ratings, more need for another season in addition to a cast willing to do another season. Thank you for making a video which highlights the potential of this show and the love between Riley and Danny.

Yeah I agree on everything you said. Baby Daddy could have gone on for several more seasons. They could have focused on Ben and Elle but I actually always thought Zoey would get back on the show and really wanted them to be end game. And the writers could have focused on Tucker and find a long term relationship for him. It would have been better if they did not rush the wedding for that one episode. They should have spent more time on them planning their wedding. It is still hard to believe that they decided to end the show when they could have had so many more great storylines.

Gil T I 100% agree with this whole thread. They could do so much more with these characters and so many more storylines. I'm mostly angry that Tucker never got a long term relationship and we never found out Danny and Riley's sons name. Plus this cast as wayyyyy more chemistry than most of the others on Freeform.

I’m pretty sure baby daddy got canceled because the budget that they had for the second half of that season went to grown ish. Very sad a show had to end that way
