Sitting here at 2:31 am watching this video thinking I need to be getting some sleep , was working on my wife's truck Sunday , put in a new wheel speed sensor , Wich didn't fix the issue , so guess I'm going to check the wiring and see if there's any chewed or damaged wires and if not I'll change the other one , been chasing a problem that the code is for incorrect first ger ratio and I already replaced the speed sensor on the back of the transmission and now the left rear wheel , only one left is the right wheel now , here I have been working on her truck the last 4 days and sit and watch videos like this after I'm done working on my stuff . Lol oh well it's all good God Bless

I had to replace my hub assemblys to fix my problems

@@jerrydevine8057 this is a solid axle , doesn't have a hub assembly like that , the reluctor wheel looked good on it , I cleaned it, unfortunately if it's not the other sensor or a wiring problem then it's more than likely an internal problem in the transmission , I believe there is a planetary that has been an issue on those , just sucks playing the guessing game to see what works . Lol

Apparently something you don't understand is that the one main ingredient that holds interest of your channel IS you and your family. You live in tat garage WITH all your different projects and your family is out there spending time with you. Don't you know what a lucky man you are???? Just wish you wouldn't disappear for so long sometimes., miss you bud. Would sure like to see you clean up that jeep. Keep it original but off-road durable.

You have my sympathy. Mrs. O is pretty hard on me too, but I muddle through somehow. Payday's coming up next week, we'll be doing a little more for hurricane relief. I would think that the lifters would indicate if they should be oriented in a certain direction. But if not, you should be fine. No guarantee implied 🙂

I am just wondering if on the timing chain guide you got the bolts going through the opposite side they should be going? it looked like from here (1200 miles away) that there was a recess for the bolt heads on the other side? Or is there a raised boss on the block that I didn't notice?

you put the bolts in the wrong direction on that guide. the dished part faces outward. if how you was holding it was how you installed it.

Might not hurt to have your fuel injectors checked, I had a couple that were almost not working on my salvage yard 5.3

That S-10 might be a good vehicle for the young man. You could take the square body in on it and make him a good deal on the little Chevy truck. Say something like 20 days of labor in the shop, Lol, you could let him whittle you down to 12-15 days of shop work so he thinks he got a good deal out of you.
