Nick Gordon at least deserves some Triple A playing time. When it comes to the offseason you should try to acquire some veteran pitchers to complement your younger players, like the Braves did in rl. Getting Big Sexy Bartolo Colon is never a bad option. I would also try to trade Phil Hughes, as he had a pretty bad contract that limits what you can do financially. Finally, if you can get an elite pitching prospect for Dozier that's ready next year or the year after do it. Dozier is your best asset at this point. Use him wisely

I completely agree. As much as I like Dozier, I will be fielding offers. Mauer/Santana contracts are off the books after two years. Hughes isn't a long term fix. I think we have some decent arms in our system, and this draft can be big for us.

Just so you're prepared, for some reason the draft is on June 1st in franchise mode in year 1. The date usually changes season to season.

Lots of people (including me) want to see Nick Gordon at some point. Maybe he can get called up to Triple-A or you do some kind of Player lock with him like you do in your Vikings Franchise. I want to see Fernando Romero as he can make an impact in the future for your pitching rotation. Perhaps he could get called up, especially if Mejia continues to struggle.

Love these videos, Hurricane. Keep it up! :) It's great to see the individual stories going on with the team, rather than just games for the sake of it. Also, a theory I've often had; have you noticed that pitchers with lower control ratings tend to get less love from the ump on close calls? It was pretty obvious in this video, where Mejia was getting nothing at all on the edges. If Mejia throws the pitch at 10:25 for instance, it's a ball all day long. :p I know there's a bit of a random element to represent the umpires not being perfect in real life, but I think the pitcher's control rating plays a part too. At least, it seems to. Maybe the hitter's patience, too? The 'Troy Tulowitzki effect', if he didn't swing then it must've been a ball. ;)

I think there is something to it. During games commentary talks about how pitchers that can't hit their spots struggle to get close calls. That wouldn't shock me at all.

Like many have been saying bring up Gordon. But rather than putting him on for Dozier, who is one of the best hitters on the team, use him as a shortstop for Polonco and use him for his speed fielding ability and great contact

Looks like there's some promising potential with building the lineup around Buxton and Sano. And there's Nick Gordon who's potentially the answer the Twins have long lacked at Shortstop. Trade Dozier and build a starting pitching rotation and the team will be a juggernaut in a couple years.

He usually does Madden one day, Kalispell the next, and MLB every couple days. If the season ends for a football game, he streams the offseason, takes a few days to do the preseason and compile highlights, but makes up for it with an extra video of the other game. Hope this helps!

I think you should trade for some outfielders that are A or B potential. Not necessarily MLB ready, but someone who can develop quickly because Rosario and Grossman aren't going to progress much in the years too come. Maybe Kepler will, but at least someone that you can go to if any one of those outfielders fail to produce.

Hey Cane, could you clarify something for me? How does analog hitting works this year? I mean, still no stride? I only have 14 and 15 here, skipped 16, but i'm thinking about getting MLB 17. Is there some leap from 15?

I had to give up on analog hitting myself. I'm old school with the hitting and just use timing. I tried analog for a long time and didn't get better. I haven't used analog since maybe The Show 14.

Oh, i see. Analog in 15 was kind of a letdown because it felt less organic without the need to control the stride (at least for me). Overall, do you recommend 17 for someone who played 15 almost non-stop for months (it is one of my favorite platinum trophies)?

A platinum in MLB is both a pain in the ass and a nice platinum to have. Well done. I love 17. Franchise is fun. Critical situations are a great addition. If you like RTTS I think that is better this year. Can't speak much on DD but I do enjoy that from time to time.

I absolutely love RTTS! I play mainly RTTS and exhibition mode. I like baseball a lot, but i don't understand certain aspects of the sport (yet) to play franchise. I can do it in Madden or FIFA, but i feel kinda lost in MLB's franchise mode. I love the idea of being the manager of the organization, but it feels too complex for me (and i say that after playing Football Manager since it's inception in '02 when it was called Championship Manager). Sorry for the long post hahah I really like your videos a lot. Hopefully i can understand these intricacies of the game of baseball to be able to properly enjoy franchise mode as well.
