I recently found out that the correct word to use is envious, not jealous. Envy is when you desire something someone else has. Jealousy is when you are worried about losing something you have to someone else. No hate! I just thought I'd mention it because it stands out to me now. The thing about Fernando Alonso is, exactly like Max Verstappen when he is not driving F1, his favorite off time activity is more driving. I expect when Max retires from F1 He’ll emulate Fernando and do a lot of the same things. Fernando did in terms of racing in all sorts of other motorsport series (IMSA, WEC, rallying) and winning virtually everywhere he drives. Only Fernando has really done that among F1 drivers.

Its cool to hear Fernando's thoughts on the current and past generations of F1 cars. (consistent with all other drives) the current engines and Formula is Tech forward but very boring to actually race. (I have been saying for years) F1 should not be this Tech forward, bring back V10s and make them small and light again. and Make tires that can handles a full race distance at Quali pace like the early 2000s.

On the v8/10 topic. They might have been slower back then but the v10 would probably be quicker on current tires. Ralf Schumacher did a few Laps last year in Austria. With the v10 on modern tires he would have made it to Q3. Given that he's way past his prime and the car was probably detuned a bit, I reckon those cars would actually be quicker.

The creativity that people put into photo and video shoots is always amazing to me. While this was "work" for Alonso, it sure seems like a nice way to make a living. I highly doubt on his days off he'd want to be asked the same questions he's been asked 100 or a thousand times. That said he seemed very gracious with his answers. Alonso's had an amazing career starting with Mindardi to become a two time world champion. I never thought he'd be back in F1 after he left and he just may get an opportunity to start fighting for wins again if Adrian can work his magic at Aston. I hope that happens - the more at the front the better IMO.

While Fernando Olonso is a bonafied F1 rockstar, and Velocity Black go to huge efforts to capture and showcase what it is that they offer, with their state of the art camera equipment and all of the latest gear.
