The transmission itself is probably worth $100K BY ITSELF. Just in materials and assembly time alone. But if it was possible to downsize it to only have a third of the torque capacity, then you could POSSIBLY get it to under $20K. Still an expensive transmission, but it would be much more feasible.

I've never heard any manufacturer willing to do this kind of project, I mean, it never happened before, taking an older model chassis fitting multiple latest technology into it from multiple currently available model and creating a whole amazing package.
