@@MrLAntrim Hi Levi! I saw your blog! In this blog you asked "us", that what's is our worst restaurant experience. I'll write about 3 experiences, OF COURSE IN GERMAN: SO THE FIRST, DAS ERSTE MAL: Wan ich in Budapest war in 2007, ich war in einem portugesischen Restaurant.

Hallo Ich lerne Deutsch und möchte dich was fragen When I write following sentence for example , 'super/gut/ein bisschen/nicht so gut/nicht/gar nicht' are adverbs, aren't they? For example, Ich kann super/gut/ein bisschen/nicht so gut/nicht/gar nicht Schach spielen. I would be grateful if you could clear up my confusion. Herzliche Grüße!

No there are not all adverbs, but you have placed them in an adverb position in your sentence.

I think I explained this in the 1st video in this series about coordinating conjunctions, but didn't mention it in this video. Basically, you can do it and the clauses simply act independently. The verbs get conjugated to match the subjects of each respective clause and the word order does what the word order rules dictate (coordinating conjunctions = regular word order, subordinating conjunctions = verb to the end, adverbial conjunctions = conjunction-verb-subject). Example: Ich füttere meinen Hund jeden Tag, jedoch mag er mich leider nicht. - I feed my dog every day, but he doesn't like me unfortunately.

Do these adverbial conjunction put the verb in the 1st position?
@MrLAntrim
@MrLAntrim Жыл бұрын
No. They keep the verb in 2nd position. They move the subject to position 3.

You said “somit” is used in the main clause but your examples show “somit” in the second clause. Any explanation?
@MrLAntrim
@MrLAntrim 3 жыл бұрын
Main clause does not mean that it is the first clause. The main clause can be either first or second. If the clause can stand on its own, it is the main clause regardless of its placement within the sentence.
