I was out on Raritan (SB) on Saturday as well. My first outing on Raritan and caught my first smallie too, a little dink. I was using 1/32oz jighead with a Yum Pulse. I had to bite it off because it was a bit large for the jighead. In hindsight, I should have just used a 1/16oz haha. I thought about using a ned rig but I was too lazy to switch. Maybe I should have. And I agree with you on them being too expensive. I didn't recognize those 3 spots so I guess I wasn't at the same spots you went to. I'm looking to explore more. River fishing has its charm that is unique to it apart from lakes and ponds. I like it a lot. Tight lines!

I have to agree with you the Ned rig works on the Raritan. Does get snagged a bit to much. Check out Nedrignation on Facebook. He has some good mushrooms heads at a great price
